Nope:

The simple solution:

Dismiss Mike McCarthy ASAP.

And replace him with whom? Its easy to sit up north and bitch and moan wanting one of the most successful HCs in franchise history thrown out on his ear but you better make damn sure you have somebody to take his place. Do we want to start all over at this point in Rodgers career?

I don't bitch and moan.

I'm just a Packer and NFL Fan. I can't FIRE him.

I use the brains and observable ability that my fortunate life grants me. I'm a solid Green Bay Packer and NFL fan for 6 Decades. I know the difference between a winner and a loser..

Anyone who seriously follows the Green Bay Packers, is well aware that MM has a sold record with Aaron Rodgers as his QB. Aaron Rodgers carries the Green Bay Packers on his back.It doesn't have a whole lot to do with MM's Head Coaching abilities. He's much much less as a HC and not having Aaron Rodgers as his QB. MM darn near didn't beat the Cleveland Browns this year and needed a huge comeback and OT win to get that done. He managed to Coach his Packers to wins over two other Bottom Feeders. That's hardly impressive for MM's Resume.

It will be interesting to see if MM stays in the NFL as a HC and how successful he might be; given his rumored tantrum and Russ Bal becoming the Packers GM?

My analysis of MM is he's not going anywhere.

Unless he's forced out with his tantrum not boding well for him. He also made some really questionable dismissals this week.

If 'in fact; MM leaves his Plum Job in Green Bay. My guess is he'll either retire from coaching or take a College Gig.

RE: Aaron Rodgers:

Are you assuming that Aaron Rodgers remains in Green Bay?

What tantrum?

Unless Rodgers makes a stink when his contract is up or when we try to extend it he isn't going anywhere.

Please read the threads I provided and MM's reported stand and Russ Ball getting the nod as the next Packer GM. He is reported as saying to his staff on this past Thursday 1/4/2018; that he will be leaving Green Bay if Russ Ball becomes The next Green Bay Packers GM.

I wish I was as sure of that as you are.

Aaron Rodgers is a Pro Athlete, and today in Pro Sports there is little LOYALTY.

He obviously wants another Super Bowl Ring. He may be sick and tired of carrying the Packers on his back. He's the most talented (gifted) player in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers can write his own $$$ Contract $$$ with an NFL Franchise that will certainly provide for him, all the tools he needs to better ensure that next Super Bowl Ring. It's now all there and another Ring. He's guaranteed to become the NFL's highest payed Player because of his obvious status.

The Green Bay Packers have certainly acted in disregard to Aaron Rodgers needs and that has been a certain and TRUTHFUL observation in latter Seasons.

You know ARod can’t just leave the Packers, right?

The Packers can tag him and it will cost another team 2 1st round draft picks plus a $25,000,000 per year contract. And that is only if the Packers don’t use the exclusive franchise tag which stops him from negotiating with any other NFL team.

But of course you know that because you have been a Packers fan for 6 decades, yada yada yada.......

I'll take our head coach staying over Cappie Russ and nearly everybody would agree with me. Good for MM; he mentioned the word "Fit" between the coach and GM about 7 times in that presser.

He doesn't have to stay here and that was his point. The second he leaves his phone will be ringing off the hook with offers. And some teams calling him will be teams who haven't even fired their coaches.

We're all seen many hires here in Green Bay......Bart Starr/Lindy Infante/Forrest Gregg/Ray Rhodes/Mike Sherman/Mike Holmgran (who was great).......did I miss any........where does Mccarthy fit in there ?

At worst he's the 2nd best of that group; be careful what you wish for.

Now we're supposedly bringing in a GM who doesn't get along with Mccarthy.

If you read between the lines it's very clear MM wanted a greater sense of urgency in using our funds to elevate our team on an annual basis and was at odds with TT...........and CAPPIE RUSS....they were in the same camp...IMO........all of this is disheartening....if you believe what is about to happen.

I'm still not accepting any of it.....but if you believe the pressers Green Bay is doing a HALF ASS JOB conducting a B.S. GM Search when all along CAPPIE RUSS was the guy.

I hope all of my assertions become wrong; perhaps we'll see Monday.

We're basing all this anxiety about MM quitting on "a source" who said that MM told some assistant coaches that he would leave if Ball were hired. This is from the same writer who said "a source" told him that Murphy was told by the Executive Committee to fire TT.

This writer charges a subscription to read his opinions and stories from an "unnamed source". I would venture a guess that the subscription traffic through his site has benefitted from these stories.

I think we ought to take a chill pill and see what happens next week. If Ball is hired and MM miraculously stays, maybe the "source" got it wrong. "Sources" said that MM brought Ball to New Orleans, then to Green Bay. Never heard about a feud until the fans got worried about the hiring of a cap guy.

If Murphy hires someone other than Ball, maybe there was truth to the story and maybe someone interviewed better. We'll see next week.

I fear you are reading waaaayyyy to much into reporters musings about what is going on at 1265. Unless Wilde and McGinn bugged Murphy and McCarthy's phones/offices I doubt they know a thing.

As far as Rodgers being upset. Again, "if" that's true, he's under club control for the next 5 years. Two years of contract and three years of franchising. Absolutely no way the Packers let him walk until they're ready. He'd be 39 years old by that time and we better have a succession plan in place by that time and it won't be Hundley.

He could pull a Brady and get Hundley or Callahan traded for less that market value.

If it was less than market value, we'd have to give a 2nd rounder to the other team with those two.

Mike McCarthy leaving the Green Bay Packers before the 2018 Season isn't likely to happen.

He's an Irish American and thus prone to getting a tad hot under the collar.

Sometimes he gets the 'fits':

Plus the 2 years remaining on his contract equals......

Unless he goes full Farve Andy retires 12 years in a row so he can skip camp. Does Rodgers have his own locker room yet?
