Andrew Brandt apparently has a new gig at The Athletic and has told one of the two stories he knows.

Aaron Rodgers was picked because the board told Thompson to do it.

I look forward to the Favre column in six months.

And remember: Capers doesn’t care about defending the middle of the field, the linebackers are coached to tackle five yards downfield, Rodgers only cares about his stats, 579!, TT doesn’t want to win,it’s all about his EGO.

Well TT was pretty satisfied with the status quo, which contributed to his ousting.

IMO, GB and Rodgers will come to terms on a new contract. That said, Rodgers has already stated that he wished to stay with GB until he is ready to retire. The money issue will be settled, but more important Rodgers is again a happy guy. He's rich, famous, has a famous girlfriend, he's also ready to open up a can of Whip Ass over his injury and missing the playoffs last season. The real question is can GB's WRs/RBs/TEs step up to where Rodgers needs them to elevate their play too.
