Dooley is what we don't need. He makes Blake Martinez and Jake Ryan look like elite athletes. I think only my guy Nick DeLuca from NDSU, Josey Jewell, Chris Worley, and Ola Adeniyi ran slower 40s among all LBs at the combine. Kind of funny that three of the five slowest LBs hailed from the Big Ten. The others played at an FCS school and a small FBS school.

JMU’s ..Raven Greene Sign NFL Contract (with the Green Bay Packers)

( Raven) Greene, who was a three-year starter in the secondary, helped JMU to its best defensive season in school history en route to being named a Second Team All-American by both STATS and HERO Sports.

Greene was also a HERO Sports Third Team All-American after leading JMU with six picks as a junior. He had five interceptions this past season and set JMU's all-time records for career interceptions (14) and interception return yards (258). He broke JMU's interceptions record on a 59-yard pick-six in the FCS semifinals against South Dakota State.

"I was sitting at home and the draft had just ended when I get the call from my agent that Green Bay had offered me a contract, and I can't describe all the feelings running through my head," Greene said. "All the lessons learns and adversity we faced the last few years have prepared me well for this opportunity. Things don't just happen by accident, so it's just a blessing."

Greene heads to Green Bay on next week.

Tyler Lancaster, DL

Wildcat fans know Lancaster’s story. His father, one of Northwestern football’s biggest supporters, passed away earlier this year. Wearing No. 1, Lancaster was one of the most inspirational Wildcats in 2017.

Although he was not invited to the combine, Lancaster surely made his pops proud at Northwestern Pro Day.

He weighed in at 313 pounds and was measured at 6-foot-3 — he’s a mammoth. His 36 bench press reps would have been fourth best at the NFL combine. Where Lancaster is uncanny is his agility and nimbleness for his size; his 40 yard dash (4.96) and shuttle times (4.43) were also fast for his position.

Lancaster’s lack of exposure and lack of pass rush ability will likely cause him to go undrafted (he had 3.5 sacks during his Northwestern career).

I looked at this Prospect earlier (as his name jumped out at me) and then to see if or where he signed his UDFA Contract. Minnesota ! :sad:

I would have rather seen him signed by the Packers.

Big-bodied tight end who stands out as a blocker. Quickly releases off the line into pass routes, nicely adjusts to errant throws and makes receptions in stride with his hands. Displays a sense of timing, extends to pull the ball from the air and consistently makes catches with his hands. Stout, takes big hits but stays on his feet and works to pick up positive yardage after the catch. Bends his knees, stays square and keeps his head on a swivel blocking.
Neg:
One-speed tight end who lacks burst. Primarily a short-range target and cannot split the seam.
Analysis:
Smith has lineman size but does a terrific job catching the ball when thrown in his direction. He has enough ability to line up as a third tight end at the next level.

He also got roasted pretty good by WR's like D.J.Moore in college. Big bodied guy with some measurables, but if you're a raw player who likes to smoke that's a tough way to make a roster. Maybe you could make him a safety, but he's probably a camp body or PS guy.

Escaped custody (sounds like he just left) and was picked up the next day after someone called in to say there was a man ODing. They picked him up, and when putting him in an ambulance, he did a runner! All this resulted in his accomodations being upgraded from a Community Corrections Center to jail.
