The alouettes won’t win the Grey cup this season, but they will end up making the playoffs, just like our beloved Pack did in 04 after that hapless 1-4 start. Then in the offseason, all the planets will align for the team, and some hotshot QB from Canada’s Hockey Stick Butte University named Erin Rogers will fall into their laps. The alouettes will then win the next 4 Grey cups.

I’m getting blisters on the left side of my sack. I think it’s b/c of friction due to the alienation of long days flipping burgers literally AND figuratively. I’ve tried wearing a bunch of different underwears. Thought the issue was resolved after I started wearing man bikini - didn’t do the trick. Now experiencing with bandaging up the sack and wearing oversized briefs - hopefully that fucking works and heals up the sack.

If you don't make much money, you would qualify for state funded insurance. The co-pay on that insurance would probably be $40

My shitty insurance don't do co-pay til one spends $6000 K or so out of pocket, after the $300 annual "allowance."

For a minor disorder (at least you hope it is only minor), you go to a health care clinic, doctor take a look at you for 5 minutes, prescribes you expensive dope, then bills you 600 bucks, asks you to come back in a couple of weeks for a 3 minutes followup, which clinic proceeds to bill you another 600 bucks. You will lose even more frogskins if the disorder isn't resolved by the followup.

USA needs universal health care badly and immediately. Uncles Sam is already taking frogskins away from all our hard-earned paychecks (Medicare). I'm all for paying a bit more for UHC.

Currently, all insurance companies care about is taking your money, not aiding you. Hospitals/health care clinics only care about profits. Suffice it to say, the American health care system is fucked up. Capitalism is the reason why.

I'm having a hard time believing this is the case. This would literally be the first time in my life I've heard of a policy that is 100% out of pocket until you reach the deductible. You might want to double check that office visits fall under the deductable umbrella.

Yes, I should probably review the policy. Last time I spoke to HR about it, it appeared shitty as I described above. Regardless, everyone should be able to receive extraordinary health care without facing financial distress. In ole USA, only murderers, rapists and other inmates of the criminal justice system receive UHC. That's fucked.

Good advice from Zool: don't go to a specialist for something a veterinarian could diagnose. Don't listen to 31, he really means talcum and that stuff will give ya ovarian cancer.

Not talc or baby powder, pure corn starch. One of those bulk sized cans finds its way off the kitchen shelf and into the locker room, employee bathroom, back office, walk-in cooler, etc for communal use.

Sorry if this has already been covered/beat to death:

Jay Cutler’s Quote of the Week
Kristin wants Jay to get a new job, or at least a hobby, because apparently she’s tired of him sitting around the house all day watching random deer. “Just to not have to deal with Jay on a daily basis … I cannot wait for that to be over,” is an actual sentence Kristin says about Jay, who, I’ll remind you, is her husband. Over a nice dinner, Kristin asks Jay what he plans to do in retirement, and Jay responds, “I’m not really looking to do a lot of work right now. I’m looking to do the exact opposite of that.”

Processed cheese was first aersolized in 1965, more than a decade before the advent of the modern air attack in pro football and the year before the NFL and AFL merged. Packers beat Colts in conference playoff and then Browns in the Championship game. In one of those ironies of history, the air that was put into cheese was taken out of the football, as both starting QBs (Starr and Unitas) and the Colt backup (Gary Cuozzo) were injured and unable to play in the conference playoff.

The quarterback known as Johnny Football fizzled in a hurry in the Montreal Alouettes' 50-11 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday night.

"This is a humbling experience," Manziel said. "I've had this experience in the past and there are two ways you go about this moving forward. One, you can let it get you down and sulk and harm you moving forward. The other way is to take this on the chin like a man and never let this taste creep back in your mouth again and never let it happen again. This will motivate me."

After completing a pass for a 5-yard loss on his first play, Manziel threw an interception on the second — with the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner bringing down linebacker Larry Dean.

"I didn't feel uncomfortable," Manziel said. "I just feel I might have been a bit too amped up. As the game started, I made a really uncharacteristic throw on the first drive and it really set us back. I did a bad job of setting the tone on that first drive.

On Manziel's second series, with Montreal down 14-0 to his former Hamilton teammates, he handed off twice before the Tiger-Cats blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.

The former Texas A&M star had another pass intercepted on his third series, with the blame going to running back Tyrell Sutton for mishandling and deflecting the ball to defender Jumal Rolle.

Manziel led Montreal to a field goal on his fourth drive, then threw his third interception early in the second quarter — Rolle's second of the night.

The fourth interception came with 2:22 left in the half that ended with the Tiger-Cats up 38-3.

Manziel finished 11 of 20 for 104 yards. He played three series in the third quarter — all ending in punts — before giving way to back up Vernon Adams in the fourth.

"It didn't look like anybody was ready today," Montreal coach Mike Sherman said. "The defense, the offense, the special teams. I don't have any regrets. He's going to have to get his first game out of his system."

"block" translates here as "cause an orthopedic event"

Marcedes rules!

I said it before and I'll say it again - no one should get anywhere near Incognito without a fully charged taser out and ready to use.

Even if you're an undertaker, apparently.

Not sure if CTE, since he's always been nutty. I always got the sense that he was of his meds or something.

hate to say it, but I could see him dead or in jail by 50.

Happy thought for the day.

Rewatched the 2019 Packers/Cowboys game this week and my goodness Aaron Jones ate Leighton Vander Esch's lunch ALL DAY.

I think the answer is you can't wash your hands too much, especially if you play 'south of the border'. That last bit is for madtown.

13-3 teams don't need many Hail Marys. What they need, is run defense.
