A capsule look at Packers-Bears game

The Chicago Bears are favored by three points entering Sunday's Week 1 matchup at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. Here are some facts about both of the teams. Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m.

Packers' offense - 18th overall, 30th rushing, seventh passing;

Packers' defense - seventh overall, 23rd vs. rush, first vs. pass.

Bears' offense - 29th overall, eighth rushing, 31st passing;

Bears' defense - second overall, 11th vs. rush, fifth vs. pass.

Bears lead 86-78-6 (not including Chicago's 1941 playoff win)

Last meeting:

Chicago 24, Green Bay 17 at Lambeau Field on Dec. 25 In his first and only start of the season, Chicago quarterback Rex Grossman completed 11 of 23 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown.

Packers quarterback Brett Favre nearly doubled him in yards, throwing for 317, but he was picked off four times and had no interceptions. One of the interceptions was returned 10 yards by Lance Briggs for a third-quarter touchdown that made it 24-7. With Samkon Gado joining Ahman Green and Najeh Davenport as injured and out of action, Noah Herron was the leading rusher with 14 attempts and a mere 33 yards.

Of note:

Three weeks earlier, the Bears beat the Packers 19-7 in Chicago. Favre threw two interceptions, one of which was returned 45 yards in the fourth quarter for the game's only touchdown.

In two games, Favre threw a whopping 111 passes. He was intercepted six times and threw no touchdowns.

After going 18-2 against the Bears from 1994 to 2003, the Bears swept last season's series for the first time since 1991.

Favre is 21-7 lifetime vs. Chicago.
