Looking forward to him on the practice squad. He is our new "Callahan".

No, he's our new Taysom Hill. Now if only his first name were Lance instead of Tim.

First name: Slow

Can he play special teams?

Exactly correct, sir. Watched the tape of the game 3 times. He def. has a lot more moxie than the other two stiffs. Much more NFL potential.
The Pack should step out a bit and run Boyle in with more of the starters to see what he can do.

We should just have resurrected the Taysom Hill thread and stickied it.

Hill was a running QB, not a statue of a pocket passer with a cannon arm like Boyle.

I'm guessing the Hun gets traded at the end of camp.

Hahahaha they would have to pay money to get a 7th for that dumpster fire.

I agree that comparison to Hill is odd. BTW, is Hill a 2nd QB now?

Look closely, and Hundley kinda look Asian, like Attila the Hun.

Not sure 'bout Hill. Don't follow the Aints on twitter or facebook.

Hill is compared to Hercules. He plays special teams and actually tackles. But it's not clear if he will beat-put the New Orleans Boyle for a backup QB job.

Boyle is not an immobile QB, he just doesn't bail out in two seconds when the first read is not there.

Ain't buying this. He is no Hill or Hundley with his feet.

But I will see tonight if you have a point.

I think the thing I liked with Boyle was when given the opportunity, he actually threw the ball more than 7 yards down the field. For far too long, whenever anyone other than ARod was at the helm, the QB's would either do that dink-dunk thing or start looking to run. Boyle was not afraid to go vertical, and it led to some nice plays.

Kizer did that a bit in games 2 and 3 as well (didn't see game 1, so I can't comment). That's what guided me to wanting Kizer/Boyle vs anybody/Hundley. Hundley wouldn't push it down the field with regularity. He'd take shots, but they were the super safe ones.

I did, didn’t I. The Hun has been traded. And the Statue of Liberty moves better in the pocket than Boyle.

Anti-Polar Bear

yup.

Like Harlan, I didn’t watch the 2nd half of the finale. In the 1st half, however, Boyle couldn’t evade a monstrous pass rush to save a cow. I sense picks for Boyle whenever the protection breaks down or the wideouts aren’t open. But I like his arm.

Not really. He is intriguing but he still needs a boat load of work. He telegraphs his passes and throws way to late.

I won't get to see the game until Sunday morning on NFL Network, but I suspect same ol' same ol' - the O Line screwed things up royally for Kizer and Boyle, same as they always do for Rodgers and did for Hundley. I'll withhold judgment for sure, though, until I see the game.

I'm still on the fence on whether Boyle should be kept on the 53. Nice arm, but very raw. I'll leave it to Gute and MM to make that decision. He will be inactive all the time so I guess it doesn't matter.

To get a QB prospect with Boyle or Kizer's demonstrated tools you have to draft in rounds 3-5.
Forget their pedigrees coming out of college, this is where their potential stands now.

Of course you protect both Boyle & Kizer. Otherwise it is like throwing away a good draft pick.

This is a good point. But as anti pb said, we have to accept that he will be a pocket passer. He doesn't look fast or quick. That's OK, Tom Brady manages.

Of course Boyle was an Undrafted Free Agent and cost the Packers zero picks.

A disciplined GM ignores all past investment and just looks at value today. Hard to do, but that was Ron Wolf's good advice.

That's good advice in almost every scenario.
