Looks like for a 6th round pick...Gouda for GM of the year!

But Tex told me he was better than Kizer.

Seattle seems to like running QBs so Brett is a better fit for them. I'm glad we got something for him.

The Hun was,no doubt, was an abomination. But is there a black QB or former black QB you don’t hate?

Called it. Hope it works out for him. Could have gone into tank after last year and the Kizer trade but got a little better.

Kizer as 2 seems inevitable now but I am not sure he is ready.

Agreed bout Earl T. Maybe Seattle shot down any notion of trading Thomas.

Don’t think this is a Todd move. Can’t recall any instances in which Todd traded away any of his cubs, although you could argue that wankers like Hun am DRnd weren’t Guts cubs.

This was Hundley's last contract year. If for some miraculous reason the Packers had kept him, they wouldn't have re-signed him for 2019. It was get cut/trade him now, or cut him in 2019.

What a bunch of idiot haters in here!

I'm just as satisfied to see him traded, although it would have been better to get more for him. Now we're stuck with Kizer as the back up - I suppose they made that decision when they traded for him. Whatever ...... if Rodgers gets hurt, the team is in the toilet anyway, whoever the back up is.

Maybe we can use that 6th round pick to get a new starting O Lineman. It sure wouldn't take much to be better than what we have now - speaking of dumpster fires.

That's what McCarthy told the team when he announced the trade.

As for PB's concern that Kizer isn't ready, well, he probably isn't. But last year we were told Hundley was A-1 ready after two years in the system, and look how that worked out. If Kizer can just not make dumb throws he's no worse than Hundley was last year, and could be better. I don't know if Hundley makes a leap this year or not. It's hard to say. Maybe the experience of last year will help him, or maybe the game's just too big for him.

True, but this ain’t a Todd move, in my humble stoic opinion. More like a Wolf or a Sherman move.

No’s 1st, Seattle’s 6th and Allison for Mack? :)

If the level of backup QB play is already questionable or is going to struggle anyway, it might be better to try someone else. They obviously thought Kizer had a higher ceiling, even though they invested time to develop Hundley.

I think Tex gets to take away a small victory here. A sixth round pick is some decent value. Apparently the experts think Hundley is worth something - at least compared to the evaluation of most people in this forum.

I am VERY interested in observing Boyle's play against KC. I think a surprise might be in the making.....

Surprised they got anything for him. Kizer is younger with more upside, a better arm, and a longer contract. If Rodgers is out an extended time we're done anyways.

I had that same thought. Could be juicy! Is a Boyle on your ass better than 2 Kizers in a bush?

You also have to consider the tire fire that was the previous Seattle backup QB situation. Seattle had a big need.

And Kizer brought a first round pick player in return to his draft team. Huntley lost a round.

How is ol' Randall doing in Cleveland? I heard that he was entrenched as a starting safety, but I also heard he was battling for a starting safety spot.

A small victory, maybe, but to go with shitting his pants over the general dim view that fans hold of Hundley. And we now have a pretty good idea of how iffy the pro evaluations of a guy like Hundley are. If the Packer coaching staff couldn't tell he was "unprepared" to step in, how are the scouts from other teams supposed to know whether he has the makings of a capable QB or is just the second coming of Rich Campbell?

Both, apparently, are true: he is entrenched and battling. Battling himself.

apparently he is getting a second opinion on his knee. Team doctor believes it may actually be two feet.

This switch is at QB will make Thursday's game much more interesting. I bet viewership will jump 20% as a result. (There will be 1200 people watching instead of a 1000.)

After trading Brett Hundley to the Seahawks, the Packers plan to keep both DeShone Kizer and Tim Boyle as backups on the 53-man roster barring anything unforeseen in Thursday's preseason finale, per a source.

The FEC is also interested in some unusual activity surrounding Chiclets stock following the Trade of Hundley to Seattle.

By the way, I can't start the GameDay Thread tomorrow because the Packers lost last week. Somebody needs to step up and grab the bull by the horns. Show some initiative. No Guts, No Glory. All that stuff.

A handful of magic beans is about the expected return for Hundley.

Wild Guess: Seattle 6th is used to draft a place kicker to compete with Crosby.
