The Indian Packing Company initially sponsored the Packers, before being bought out, no doubt in a hostile takeover, by the Chicago based Acme Packing Company. Never forget where you (didn't) come from.

pbmax: you need to change your tag line: "At 0-0-1, Browns are off to their best start since 2004" It's now 2002 when they began 2-1.

BTW, without peeking, in what year did the Browns last win a playoff game, who was their coach, and what team did they beat?

Obvious guess is Belicheat, but I think he lost his only playoff appearance to the Steelers?

So I will reach back further and say Schotty in 1988 and the Jets. Second guess is Belicheat had a wild card win over someone THEN lost to the Steelers.

Very close. 1994 they last won a playoff game against the Patriots with Cheat as coach. Then lost the Divisional. Then lost the team....

Yep, beat Patriots and then lost to the Steelers in a game that was well within reach.

I also thought about Bud Carson, partial architect of the Steel Curtain as Browns head coach, but thought he lasted only one season and was dumped. However, he lasted 1.5 seasons and in his first, with Marc Trestman as OC (hired at the recommendation of Bernie Kosar and embarrassed on a national telecast by Bill Walsh), they beat the Bills in the Divisional Round before losing, once again, to the fucking Broncos and horse face. Was the 3rd and final loss to those bastards in this stretch, but they were not done haunting me.

The NFL network does this top 10 show and one was Top 10 "what ifs." We should do a thread on what ifs or at least: "What if Elway actually signed with Baltimore?" I didn't agree with their conclusions (they thought the Browns would move to St. Louis). The shock waves of that change would have been interesting (I think that the Browns win at least one Super Bowl and they never leave Cleveland)

I could see that. And I was always of two minds about the Browns in the Super Bowl. They were tougher against the run, but if you could get time, you could pass against the maniacal devotion to man to man, bump and run coverage, especially to TEs.

Which means of NYG, Washington and San Fran, each would have been a tough matchup. I tend to think they actually were most even with the 49ers, but the Giants could be had as well. No one in the playoffs was stopping Rypien and the smurfs. Those guys made Timmie Smith a SB MVP.

For those asking about Josh Jones (ankle), I don't think he would have played a significant role today. He's pretty far behind Kentrell Brice on the depth chart, and the coaches might have Jermaine Whitehead ahead of him too based on recent comments praising Whitehead. #Packers

Rodgers with bad touch today? That miss on Cobb and earlier on Adams were both pretty off target

He will get going.

It's a matter of the defense getting off the field. Hopefully House is sitting right next to Rollins

Fritz, this was the best streaming I found in preseason, but it looks like they shut it down. Perhaps they have new URL?

http://buffstreamz.com/watch/nfl-13

nil-13 was the individual game stream.

If you're looking for a stream, head by reddit nfl streams. I'm currently watching the twitch one,

he needs to be

if he's gonna continue to look as bad as he has in the first 3 games, you may as well play the rook

Yeah. At least if the rookie gets burned there's hope he'll learn something and improve later on.

House is done.
