But we have some massive issues. Why do we not look good on offense until we are almost in panic mode?

With Crappolo, the Niners were gonna compete in that division. There's talent over there.

Some of our issues on offense will be resolved by having Allison and Cobb back. Offense stands to improve. Protection will continue to be an issue all season because of the RG position, unfortunately.

O-line. And having top receivers out (even if the rooks are faster and bigger, Rodgers doesn't trust them)

That's about all the excuse making I got. Plus a knee.

Problem is I can't see how the defense gets much better. Will J'xander coming back be enough?

ThunderDan

D only gave up 111 yards in 2nd half. Seems crazy. SF punted once I think but the 3 turnovers saved the game for the Pack.

Seemed like that on both sides of the ball. That 3 and out the D forced with the 9ers backed up against their goal line...where was that D all night?

Never wish for losing. You just never know when a team is gonna get blistering hot. Last night, SF and KC just lit each other up. IF the Packers get scorched by NE, that'll tell you a lot. I think they'll lose that game, but they prob will be competitive.

Life its too short not to enjoy all the games and wins, even if a championship probably isn't gonna happen.

We're not even in the same galaxy as NE, LAR, KC, NO... nor do I think we're even close to as talented as MN and CHI.

Don't even remotely see this team being able to "get hot".... we are woeful at LB ( epically bad), we have a below average OL, our DL is very, very pedestrian, our Safeties are horrible, our corners are trying to learn on the job, and the coaching is antiquated and has lost the confidence of the players.

The whole thing needs to be blown up.

We have evidence how they compare to MN and Chicago. We'll see about NE and LAR. NE has plenty of holes in it's defense. I suppose you didn't see them play at Detroit?

If the Rams don't win the SB, it will be because Goff screwed the pooch. They're the best in the land, and I don't think it's close right now. KC's defense will cost them in the playoffs, as we saw last night.

They have holes, but they also have some real talent. They don't have much depth except at WR and RB. They can't afford to be missing J'xander and it would be nice if Jones could actually play safety. Can't afford problems on the O-line either.

I don't see them as a championship team, but they'll be competitive if they stay healthy going forward.

All hail Bretsky, gutsy win prediction when things were looking bleak.

I was make a similar prediction when things looked for shit, but as a joke.

The B-Man made it as a truth.

I was also gonna post that the only one of the kiddie corp of WRS that Rodgers trusted was MVS. Then AR hit EQ Brown with that brilliant sideline route. He has skills, but has been slow to develop due to sloppy routes. Well, he's starting to percolate now, by cracky!

Zook needs to drill his bunch. Every SF kick return had grand canyon sized canals the Niners roared thru. We need to work on that shit, too.

I am frustrated as well, but when you say we aren't in the same galaxy as NO or as talented as 2 teams we beat (though MN was stolen from us)....I don't know how to reply. NO could easily be a 2 win team right now.

We have focused so much on D draft picks that the offense is living on Rodgers greatness. When you lament the loss of Geronimo Allison you know the cupboard is bare.

The 49ers are a below avg team, and they pushed us all over the field for 56 minutes... actually, they beat the fuck out of our hapless players for the full 60 minutes - but Rodgers made plays enough plays in the last 4 mins to bail us out.

Watch the tape... Beathard had a clean pocket the majority of dropbacks, Rodgers was under constant duress, both of our lines were dominated in the trenches. I can't say enough bad things about Martinez and Burks... Wow, just wow!!! how horrific both of those guys are; Fackrell is a joke...

No fellas, this team is so flawed - it is beyond ressussitation. Let it die the death it deserves, and start fresh next year with a new regime.

Stubby has to go... I've defended him long enough - I'm now fully onboard the "fire stubby bandwagon".

Well, the whole ordeal has a happy ending. The former dean of Trump University promised to donate $1M to charity if she took a DNA test, so we can expect that.

Rodgers oughta stop "Kobe-ing" games, just to win them in the clutch. I haven't followed the NBA that much since the Bulls Dynasty ended, but I heard that people often accused Kobe Bryant of tanking in the first 3 quarters of games, just to be a hero in the clutch.
