Almost all of the major casinos now have Sports Books. I'm surprised nobody has commented in here yet about Iowa - apparently "branches" or whatever of the Vegas casinos are allowed to open and take bets in Iowa. I wonder if this phenomenon will catch on elsewhere around the country.

i plan on writing a “stick with me and you’ll never go hungry again” weekly betting column here throughout the season. I’ll wait until weeks 3 or 4 to start it so I can have a feel of who’s who.

If I’m wrong I’ll look like a dumb ass and I’ll get back in the proper lane, but I have confidence!

You need not wait nor do you have to make predictions either. You could start by (assuming football only) taking a look at the rosters/management of all of the 32 teams. Past records, star players, rookies, and more. You could compile a different view of the NFC or the AFC or both if time permits.

Could make a good read.

I sometimes win at poker, but in reality, I was just winning back a puny percentage of my titanic losses. If I had saved the frogskins instead of squandering ‘em away playing Hold ‘Em, I would be driving a brand new Soviet red Prius today.

But profitable gamblers do exist. If you’re indeed a shark, don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t reach the sky.

I know Tex and 31 don’t believe that I could be a successful lyricist and/or screenwriter. Rand thinks I’m a diamond in the rough, but he’s prone to sarcasm, so I ain’t certain he believes in me.

Gambling addiction - and pretty much any other addiction, including porn - ain’t a joke, though.
