Do I have to do everything around here?

Super Bowl Preview!

Well, except that Rodgers, Mahomes and about 80 other guys won't be playing.

Nail it down Boyle!

In 1996, Desmond Howard was thought by many to be on the bubble going into the last preseason game. He returned either a punt or kickoff for a TD and made the team. He would finish the year as Super Bowl MVP. You never know.

I remember that.

Does Trevor Davis need to repeat the feat to make the team?

JK Scott has really punted well this preseason. If it holds up, it’s best we’ve had since Hentrick

I don't think so. If healthy, he's on the team.

Boyle needs to do something right now. You know he misses Shep and Lazard right now. He had good chemistry with those two

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 07:55 PM
Boyle is brave in the pocket. I like that about him. Just bad protection tonight

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:02 PM
Boyle missing his top guys, Shep and Lazard have really performed.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:03 PM
Boyle hasn’t done anything wrong. Just bad surrounding cast today. He’s steady and keeping his cool though. So i think he’s helping himself.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:04 PM
De Beer having a bad night. Bad. He’s got an NFL body and athleticism. Practice squad. Could develop

GOOT traded for Kizer; I have a bad feeling this will be part of the reason they keep him

I’ve always liked Kevin Harlan. Him and Lofton, I would take them for every game all year.

I hope not. Boyle a more natural QB

pittstang5

Anyone thinking Crosby is on his way out? If he's cut, he's going right to the Bears and I don't want to see that.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:10 PM
Boyle is calm. He’s cool and in command. Similar personality to AR. Quick release. Big arm. Throws well off balance and off schedule. He’s better than Kizer.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:11 PM
Beautiful pass by kizer

Joemailman
08-29-2019, 08:15 PM
Lofton mentooned that Kizer has started games in the NFL. What he doesn't say is that he's 0-15.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:15 PM
Fucking kizer. Omg. Get rid of him.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:16 PM

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:19 PM
Boyle did a really good job not making a bad situation worse and giving his team a chance with bad protection and receivers. Kizer just comes in and straight fucks the pooch. Wtf.

Eithe Kizer or Moore played themselves off the team on that play.

Nah, I watched the replay. It was a shitty throw by Kizer.

08-29-2019, 08:22 PM

RashanGary

Nice job by Carson to move upfield.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:27 PM
Kizer looking somewhat steady now. But fuck, his bad is bad and his good isn’t good enough.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:29 PM
Kizer lookibg as good as he’s looked all preseason right now

Joemailman
08-29-2019, 08:32 PM
Baylis and Redding maybe playing themselves onto PS tonight.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:32 PM
Bayless had a good game. He’s the guy who put on that pass blocking clinic earlier. Just stymied the mf for like 5 seconds. Then TD.

Kizer lookint like he belongs. Fuck.

Joemailman

I think Baylis also had a nice block on that early 15 yard run by Carson.

Pisses me off that kizer gets Shep and Boyle has to play with Moore.

RashanGary

Kizer looked really good on that drive. Best he’s looked since his been in Green Bay.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 08:58 PM
Scott so damn consistent. Get off time, placement, hang time..... just really punting well. Best punter we’ve had in a really long time.

RashanGary

Crosby might be gone too. Price, age..... ficken definitely has the bigger leg..... hmmmmm

pittstang5
08-29-2019, 09:10 PM
3rd down defense not very good tonight. Gotta get off the field, even if you're 3rd/4th string

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 09:11 PM
Hollman had tight coverage all day but I was a little disappointed in his lack of ball awareness. Looks fast and serviceable but doesn’t have that hyper awareness like Alexander.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 09:17 PM
Chandon Sullivan really getting his chance to make the team. They have him playing nickel and dime today. If he’s smart and can handle the extra responsibility, he’s got himself a spot. I don’t know what his job is play in and play out, but he’s getting a chance to show other aspects to his game today. I’m pulling for him. We always need those backup DBs, every year.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 09:20 PM
Oh no Shep! Practice squad!

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 09:22 PM
Blake Martinez said he’s most impressed with raven Greene at ILB. Have a feeling that’s our guy for a couple weeks at least.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 09:24 PM
Lazard over Shep now. Shep doesn’t block and only st value is Returner. I think Lazard makes our team.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 09:51 PM
Dexter Williams kind of a beast

If your impressed by 2nd and 3rd team players playing more 2nd and 3rd team players in a meaningless preseason scrimmage game, then I have some old work boots for sale that may have a few miles left in them.

Yes, 2nds and 3rds do need the chance to try to make the team. However without some real game time for ALL the #1s, opening night vs he Bears will be sloppy at best. I know the arguments, "Were protecting our Stars from injury" and "We can be ready with the #1s with safer practices".

I say that there is no substitute for the speed and aggressiveness of a real game. The timing of both the passing and the running game suffer without SOME game time. The first 20 to 30 minutes of the final preseason game should have been dedicated to playing the week 1 starters.

RashanGary
08-29-2019, 10:14 PM
Dexter Williams makes it. He’s good. Kizer made the decision tough. Chandon Sullivan got some new responsibilities tonight. Was he sure enough to lock his spot down. Keke always flashes. Hollman physical, fast, tough but lacks ball awareness. Definitely serviceable cover guy tho. Markus Jones I think his name was played well. The TE Balis played well. Ficken made it a competition. I wouldn’t be shocked if he made the team. JK Scott punted great all preseason.

RashanGary

Not many of tonight’s players gonna make the team.

Back in the 90's, Jerry GlandVille made some crack about Wausau, pronouncing it "Owausoo." Harlan says "I'm gonna Owausoo you upside the head"

Nobody told me shoes had mileage. The past few
weeks I worked far more OT than my body could handle in a pair of overused Nikes. Consequently, my upper legs are a bit fucked up right now.

As capitalism is cruel, I lacked the option take 3-4 weeks off to rest the the tired legs. Hopefully the legs heal on their own during my goddamned split days off.

And as capitalism is cruel, I’m hesitating to see a doc. They’re just gonna charge me $400 for a 5 minutes session where the doc takes a peak at the leg. And then schedule an X-Ray the next week, which would cost me another $600. Then a bunch of follow ups at 400 a piece. God forbid, I need surgery.

Capitalism created modern surgery as you know it. Specifically how it is effective, generally safe, and thoroughly sought after. Read: VALUABLE.

MLF is really tight-lipped about injuries. Wonder if that will continue in regular season.
