A friend of mine has an interesting theory: while most commentators talk about AB as a crazy, egotistic guy, isn't it possible the concussions he's suffered have changed his brain?

The dude was always a hard worker, never caused trouble. What happened?

AB is still relatively young. I don’t think it’s CTE (yet?).

AB is a just mischievous egotist. At least he ain’t an egoist.

I’ll leave it to Prof Rand to lecture us about the virtue of Brown’s release. I mean, and Rand would argue, dude called Mayock a “cracka.” Had Mayock called AB a “nigga” instead, the Rainbow Coalition woulda demanded Mayock’s head on a silver platter, Rand would argue. :)

I wanna to see AB in the Green and Gold!

No chance in hell I want him in Green Bay

Sure he’s got a ton of talent, and you would think someone would want him

But he’s demanded out of his last two teams not, in spectacular fashion. His time in the nfl should be done

Wasn't Rison an egotist, too?

• Refused to play over helmet, filed grievance
• Threatened to retire
• Had a verbal altercation with GM, nearly suspended
• Released video containing seemingly recorded call with Jon Gruden
• Requested release

Now here I am going to be contrarian. The entire Favre drama was totally worth it just to see the look on my Minnesotan friends faces when he threw that pick. All season I had been saying .... "wait for it"....they would mock me. Then that glorious moment happened. It was a better feeling than Fritz would have if Drew Berrymore asked him...well, you get the idea.

Alas, we’ll never get to see A-Rod audible out of a shitty Frog play call to “29 Razor” and then hit a wide open AB for a bomb-6 against the Pats in Super Bowl 54.

If Tex was in charge of the Packers back in ‘96, Pack would’ve never won 31. Wu-tang defense; mediocre WRs after injuries hit; Wolf signed an egotist of a receiver. The rest is motherfucking history.

texaspackerbacker
09-08-2019, 08:36 AM
hahahahaha You're saying we wouldn't have won that Super Bowl without Rison? That's a giant leap. I'll give you a very slim maybe on it.

I remember another case - Terry Glenn - that didn't turn out as good as Rison.

BTW, the Packers paid Rison just $350,000 in 1996 - a small amount even for 23 years ago. He had been cut by Cleveland after signing for $17 million over 5 years. And the Packers did not re-sign him in 1997.

I say let the fucking Patriots have Brown. The Packers are better off without him. He'll go real well with Josh Gordon hahahaha (or is he not there any more?)

i read they haven't written him any checks yet (other than 2 game checks) and there was a stipulation in his contract that he give full disclosure about anything that may be out there. he signed off that there wasn't. no signing bonus checks were paid. so...it looks like it's in the lawyers hands now. per rappoport.

My money is on the Redskins claiming him on waivers...not sure he'll report though.

The $1m base is not guaranteed, he wasn't on anyone's the week 1 roster. They would get him for the price of a few pretty low gamechecks.

While Antonio Brown has not yet been paid any of his $9M singing bonus, the NFL is still treating it as earned for salary cap purposes, per source.
