Bress out 6 games.

That's too bad. Ol' Bress was a pretty solid quarterback for . . . wait, who did Bress play for?

Ah, just joshin' ya, TO. But we do now get to see Taysom Hill, who Thompson stupidly cut, because he's a great NFL QB waiting to happen!

Oh, wait. Bridgewater is their backup.

Time for Hill to shine.

I wondered yesterday if Big Ben was heading to "Tommy John" surgery. For pitchers, they frequently are looking at more than a year to recover. If that is his injury, and Rothlisberger is looking at missing 2020 as well, this could be a career ender for him.

Someone posted that NFL QBs often just wait for the injury to scar and call it a day. They often don’t opt for surgery like a pitcher must.

I wondered about that. So does that mean Roethlisberger's injury is something?

No idea. The scar thing doesn’t make sense to me unless it’s a partial tear.

Is Tommy Johns an overuse injury? This seems so weird on a football player to me. The video is just strange - no contact or anything. Looks like a routine throw and pop.

Women should probably avoid Ben when in bars now that he doesn’t have football as a distraction. He’s gonna be raping everyone up in PA.

@RapSheet
One note on the looming elbow surgery for #Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger: The procedure he’s having is not Tommy John, I’m told, and the recovery is not as long as that would be. He’s stated his goal is to be ready for next season.

Some interesting contract info for Biggie Ben:

•$16M of 2020 salary & bonus guaranteed for injury
•$14M of 2021 salary & bonus guaranteed for injury
•2020 Roster Bonus: $12.5M (3rd league day of 2020)
•2021 Roster Bonus: $15M (3rd league day of 2021)

His contract runs out after the 2021 season, when he's 39 yrs old. Next yr he's a cap hit of 33.5M with 25M in dead cap if he's cut. In 2021 he's a 31.5M cap hit but only 12.5M in dead cap if cut. Wouldn't shock me at all if after next season, he's done as a Steeler and a football player.

Big Ben is the NFL's Kobe. People don't talk about this aspect of Ben anymore.
