Tramon Williams 2006
John Kuhn 2007
Sam Shields 2010
Lane Taylor 2013

One really good one every three years or so.

We have Raven Greene, Tyler Lancaster, Alex Light, Yosh Nijman, Curtis Bolton and Allen Lazard as the most likely UDFA success stories on the current roster. Plus this year's (who knows) class.

That run Thompson had from 2005-2010, drafts plus the two probowl udfa corners and probowl fb Kuhn..... Damn, champions for sure.

Kuhn signed with Pittsburgh, right?

Oh yeah, he did. Doesnt quite count as a pure UDFA.

Williams was signed by Houston first. Came to GB practice squad near the end of the season.

Kuhn actually played for the Steelers. Got a SB ring.

I kinda lump those undrafted guys into the "scouring the scrap heap" sort of finds. Undrafted guys, tried another team, let go, picked up for nothing.... No real expectations.

But yeah, in the super literal sense, they were not true UDFAs

Someone around here was really big into T-will when we signed him, but I can't remember who

Frank Zombo. Had a sack and 2 TFL's against Steelers in Super Bowl.

What about Atari Bigby?

Also that linebacker who was okay then ended up playing for the colts.

10 sacks in one season for the colts. Ol' what's his name

Erik Walden was drafted by the Cowboys.

remember that preseason game when Bigby hurdled the OL and sacked the QB before he finished his dropback?

also, does anyone else not know what their signature block is about, or is it just me?

0ld What's His Name was a draft pick of the Cowboys, and played for a couple other teams before GB.

I was actually thinking of Ted Hendricks but Erik Walden makes sense too.

Ted Hendricks???
He was an All-Pro with the Colts before being traded to GB, and then went to Oakland. He was done playing while Thompson was still a player himself.

Sorry, lame attempt at humor.

Shoelaces Smith his teammates used to call him.

Also, honorary mention of Lawrence Guy who also played for the Colts and then Nw England. He wasn't a UDFA, but he was close.

Shoelaces Smith his teammates used to call him.

That's a complete fabrication, as they say.

Raven Greene and Alan Lazard have already shown they can play in the NFL. How good the become is the question mark. I have high hopes for Nijman. He is a mammoth and light on his feet. I want to see more of him. Also, you missed Frank Zombo. He has had a pretty solid NFL career.

Taysom Hill 2017

Like Greene and Lazard, think they will amount to something.
