What is up, Pack fans and Queens fans. My name is Tank Elf Duke, or TED for short, your favorite poster not named Partial, your funniest poster not named Harlan, and your humblest poster not named Madtown.

It’s a brand, bland new season. A brand, bland new hope. Yet, nothing has changed for moi at all. Still flipping burgers for the minimum-wage. Still living a wretched life devoid of marriage.

First, a shout out to Pbmax. We need you back badly, man. Who the fuck is gonna start the Zombo, or is Banjo post-game thread? Certainly not moi - my Twitter account @D’Tyrant Michaels has been censored.

Prof Rand, we know you’re larking. Swallow your ego and start posting again. You, Tex and Fosco are the only ones left who haven’t put moi on their ignore list. I certainly crave your attention!

Since this is a Queens game, allow moi to remind y’all once again that hip hop safety Harrison Smith coulda donned the Green and Gold. In an act of incompetence, the Polar Bear took Nick Perry instead.

As for the game itself, it’s gonna be a shutout. 72-0, Packers.

Power to the Packers!

Clark, Z and P dominate!

Gary plays a bunch of base downs, short yardage downs and a good handful of clear passing downs. Dominates his edge and gets some major knock back in the passing game. A pocket wrecking presence!

I like that the Packers are involving Deguara and Stergberger because over a full season we do need someone to step forward. I don’t like that the Packers are involving the young guys cuz it’s not helping in this specific game. Williams, Jones, Adams and Lizard are the only guys I feel like we can really count on, game 1.

But the Vikes going through it too, with their young D. So whatever, just kinda sloppy ball.

RashanGary

Lafleur said MVS needs to be more aggressive and reliable with his hands and going after the ball. Sounds like, somehow, he’s done some of that. I really haven’t seen a guy go from pussy footing to aggressive in the NFL, but I’ll keep and open mind.

He’s always taken the top off tho. And proves that yet again.

Last year, early when I watched SF, I thought they were too cute, developing guys and complex shit. By year end it paid off.

Interesting family
Kumerow is the son of former Miami Dolphins linebacker Eric Kumerow. He is also the nephew of former Dolphins defensive end John Bosa, and therefore a cousin to John's sons, Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa and San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa. His sister Cortney was an All-American basketball player at UW-Whitewater, and their youngest brother Derek currently plays football at Whitewater.
He is also the great-grandson of Chicago mob boss Tony Accardo.

That's a good idea, but the NFL is weird about where they decide to be cheap. A professional DJ could create/add to the experience, but they'd rather play the equivalent of a Big Bang Theory laugh track on loop.

Announcer made a good point a little while ago, the relative quiet is helping Rodgers pull the D offside with his hard count. Normally he could only do that at home.

dreadful O in the red zone the first half. loved how they moved the chains and devoured the clock all game long. no punts that i can recall. stacked up the first downs...awesome. 2nd half they seemed to morph into last seasons offense a lot. the D was up and down. gutted up the middle but minn was too stupid to keep going there. over 40 minutes of offense. game wasn't as close as the score made it seem. lol
whatever rodgers saw in his old tape that he corrected this off season made a huge difference. his accuracy was MUCH better. i don't think he threw a single bad ball. maybe one overthrow on a semi deep ball now that i think about it. had a great game.

And Clark hurt his groin. Lowry and Co got pushed around again all game long. Sloppy play on the back end. P. Smith was invisible!!!

Exactly. He is has thoroughly proven over and over again he can’t be counted on.

One was an easy first down on 3rd down and the other was a for sure TD. This has been an ongoing theme with him. It’s like we’re all holding our breath every time the ball is thrown his way.

For Gute to be experimenting with these guys as his only option with Rodgers showing early MVP like play in another prime year is completely unacceptable.

Good News. Rodgers went back to him and he made enough plays and proved he can separate and be a player as long as he focuses on the easy catches as much as he does the difficult ones.

Tool. MVS had a really good game. He did lose focus once and then overthought the next one because of it. He put up 4 catches for 96 yards and a score, while also getting very open 2 more times. His numbers were very good. That is a very good game, but rather than admit you were wrong you double down and find fault in a great performance. Typical loser speak.

Chewed up on what?

Wagner not being able to start over Patrick and not getting in the game until he was the last body standing to throw in there?

Your big top 5 defense that got waxed?

Or inconsistent receiver play outside of Adams?

This is the same old show which is “The Aaron Rodgers Show” and a blind front office that can’t put the right talent around him.

I can't fully enjoy watching the game if I type during the game, but I just finished wading through all 11 pages of posts. A few thoughts:

APB, I was wondering about #51 too. Kryss Barnes on the roster in Google was listed as "released" but with the new Practice Squad rules, he got activated from PS for the game. I didn't see anything of Burks, so maybe he replaced him.

I will be interested to see how the Vikings D does against other teams - whether they really suck as much as the Packers made it seem today, or if the Packers O did that against a decent quality D.

It's gonna hurt if we go very long without Clark. Groin injuries, though, I don't think are that serious. I think they sometimes keep coming back, though. Hopefully having Daylan Mack stopping runs in the middle will help. I have zero faith in the Northwestern nothings, Lowery and Lancaster. It seemed like after the Clark injury, they had to play a lot with an extra man in the box and Savage as a single deep Safety.

Savage didn't seem to have a very good game. Also, Kirksey to me seemed like a major disappointment. Kevin King was good? I really didn't see it - just ok at best.

No comments the whole 11 pages about how they surprisingly put Jenkins at RT and Lucas Patrick at LG (the stupid sideline commentatress said Patrick Lucas hahahaha). I hate to see Patrick get hurt, but I like it a helluva lot better with Jenkins inside at LG as it was after Patrick's injury. Either Wagner played all right, or else the Packers just did fine without much help from him. Ditto that from Runyon. Lane Taylor didn't seem to do much even before going out injured.

I was pissed off about LaFleur's red zone calls early in the game. However, down the stretch, I was thankful we didn't still have Mike McCarthy and his style. If they had taken the foot off the gas like in the McCarthy era, they might have let the Vikings back into the game.

Pettine too has some work to do. They played fine most of the time, but when we pulled away a little bit, they got sloppy and let the Vikings do what they couldn't do under most circumstances. That should be fixable, though.

No "studs and duds" thread yet?

Iirc, Gary ate the left tackle on Alexander’s safety.

Correct. Gary collapsed the tackle enough for Alexander to bend right around him and close on Cousins, who I thought could have dumped the ball or tried to scramble to his left vs. covering up for the sack. My guess is he has his eyes downfield and didn't feel Jaire's blitz until it was too late. All the same, the Baconator narrative has some legs.
