Packers could fall to the 3 seed with a loss to the Mobsters of the Midway. To paraphrase Beth Harmon, Winning ain’t everything; it’s the only fucking thing.

Only way Saints can get #1 seed is a three-way tie with GB and Sea, and they would then win based on best conference record. It would take a GB loss and a Sea win for that to happen

Jared Goff will not play this week due to surgery on injured thumb. Someone named John Wolford will likely start in his place. Wolford has no career stats.

New Orleans placed running back Alvin Kamara on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Friday. Kamara has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out Week 17 vs Panthers, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

Should Kamara remain asymptomatic and obtains medical clearance, he could play in an NFC Wild Card Weekend game on Sunday, Jan. 10, but not on Saturday, Jan. 9, Pelissero reported. Thusly, the upcoming NFL playoff schedule could determine Kamara's playing status.

Obviously huge news. They can clinch #1 seed with a win over Carolina and a Packers loss.

Not in a 3 way tie. In that case head to head tie-breaker is thrown out unless one team has head to head advantage over both other teams.

Not with a three way tie—where one team hasn’t beaten both of the other teams.

It gets worse for the Saints.

Saints running backs Latavius Murray, Dwayne Washington, Michael Burton and running backs coach Joel Thomas will be unavailable against the Panthers due to close contact with Kamara, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.

FOX's Jay Glazer first reported the news.

The Saints' Ty Montgomery, who's been used primarily at receiver and on special teams, is poised to take on a running back role.

Will they even be back for the first week of the playoffs? It's a ten day quarantine, isn't it?

Any word at all when our first playoff game will be?? I guess we won’t know until after the Wild Card weekend is over, but I’m not certain about this.
But I wonder if it’ll be on the Saturday or the Sunday January 16th or 17th.

I don't hate the Bucs coming to snowy GB. Especially if there bomb ass LB is still on the covid list. Let's get some snow and throw Thighland at them 30 times. That cold ass thicc boi will have them shaken' in their boots.

Hopefully it's cold as hell and Brady looks like Tom Coughlin in the damn cold.

I kind of hope we get a Saturday noon game in the divisional round and then a Sunday late game for the championship round. 13 days rest and then 8.5 going into the NFCC game

We’ve played a lot of late games this year so that Sunday late game would still be a good routine for the team.

If the Saints happen to lose to the Bears, we would be playing the Bears again. If not, and Seattle beats the Rams and Tampa beats Washington, we play Tampa - the most likely scenario. If the Rams upset Seattle, then we would get them as the lower seeded team, though.
