This draft sucked balls Alexander aside. That said, what a savvy move to pick up an extra #1 pick by wheeling and dealing and still getting a stud.

But woof, every pick in this draft sucks balls other than Alexander and MVS. 1 starter is two starters too few.

People can say what they want about my guy, St. Brown, but it's pretty much indisputable that Valdez-Scantling in the 5th was a super pick. The jury is, of course, still out on Burks too. All things considered, I'll give the draft a B or B+.

Does this draft get credit for the Darnell Savage pick the next year--since the pick was acquired in 2018? It certainly made the 2019 draft look much better (Gary, Savage, Jenkins, Keke).

16 and 17 were good. Clark is elite, used Spriggs, Fackrell, Lowry and Martinez. King plays, Williams did but got priced out here and AJ is a top RB in the NFL.

Alexander and MVS make 18 about a C for me.

2018 yielded an all pro corner, a still growing 3rd wr, and at the least a #3 ilb. That does not suck. That is ok so c+ b- imo.
Some more role players would have been nice but it was better than what we have seen in past, and appears to be the start of an up swing.

You need to get 2 starters from every draft for it to be solid. If you get a jaire alexander or Elgton Jenkins then you maybe need 2 role guys to go with them. 2018 will pretty much be judged as merely ok in my book. Burks has been a good ST player. If he actually looks the part on defense (which I do NOT have confidence in) then this draft ends up as good.

2015 was a killer, a complete dud. The next three were okay, at least - they met the minimum threshold for at least an okay draft. I'm not sure how you evaluate the number of starters you get versus getting only one starter who is great, like Jaire Alexander or Aaron Jones. But it definitely seems that outside of a couple of really good picks, Ted lost his mojo those last three years or so. 2016 was pretty good - four guys who start or started in the NFL - but outside of Clark, fairly average guys. Still, starters.

Hard to measure the success of a draft. Is it a good draft if you get an All Pro player and another starter but little else, like 2016 and 2018? Is it a good draft if you get three middle-of-the-road starters/contributors and one very good player, like 2016?

My take away is it shows how bright the stars shine on the team. They are very star driven. They don't have a lot of solid guys come through recently via draft. They are either really good, or really bad. The A or an F approach from the Gooter.
