I am posting this thread from the burger joint, in the middle of the night, while on an unpaid lunch break b/c I don’t wanna give thunderdan an opportunity to start the GameDay thread for the next 10 or so str8t weeks. ThunderDan thinks he’s so much better than yours truly b/c he’s a licensed CPA.

Inspired by the beauteous Olivia Rodrigo’s punk song, “Brutal,” especially the lyrics, “I’m so tired that I might/Quit my job, start a new life,” I recently interviewed for an entry level accounting position at Kohler Company. I was like, yo, I ain’t good at this formal interview shit, cos, I ain’t like to talk about myself. But I am a staunch subscriber of Belichickism. Pay me and I’ll seek to competently do my fucking job.

Suffice it to say, I wasn’t offered the gig. All I want at this stage of my life is a boring office gig that pays $50,000 annually. So that my ailing back and hip could heal. So that I could afford a humble smoke-free apartment. Maybe even ship a bride in from
Russia or Africa. Is that too much to ask for? Fuck!

Anyways, keep an eye out for hip-hop safety Taylor Rapp, a poor man’s Harrison Smith. What’s so fascinating about Rapp? Nothing, other than that he’s part Asian.

Let’s hope our beloved Pack make OBJ regret picking the bright lights of LA over the cold, dark and dull skies of Green Bay. Goddamn, OBJ woulda looked good in the Green and Musta Yella, in this is cruel universe and on Madden.

Lazard is a good blocker. Can't run, has trouble catching the ball.
Cobb is a wily veteran that never ran great routes, but has lost a step or so.
MVS is what he is--a deep threat, nothing else.
Deguara has ability, but he's inexperienced and often isn't where he's supposed to be.

It's really Adams and not much else. Makes it tough when there's no run threat.

Rodgers cooled off as the game went on. He was less mobile, but part of it was pressure was ramping up as Rams became increasingly desperate late in the game and took more chances with pressure looks. The zebras were letting DBs in this game (to be fair, definitely seemed to go both directions), get away with almost whatever they wanted. And there were a couple of plays (MVS, Lazard, EQSB) deep that Packers receivers had a chance at and just didn't reel in. Kind of a shame, but ultimately doesn't matter in a season where we're just too beat up to worry about style points. We win. Rams lost (and will now almost certainly lose the NFC West).
