Jimmy G with an INT in the end zone. 49ers looking tough though. If they finish with the #6 seed, they'll be a tough out for the #3 seed.

Tennessee just doesn't look anywhere near as good as they did the last two seasons.

When they had Derrick Henry, they were a very effective play-action offense. Without that, Tannehill is kind of average.

It's not just Henry though. Their offensive line isn't as good this year, even with him.

49ers found a way to lose it. Can't say I really fear that team more than running into the Vikings in the playoffs.

Both teams are dangerous, but both beatable.

Especially at Lambeau.

I'm pissed. I tried to put $100 on Tenn ML +165 at gametime and my app froze me out. How does that SF team LAY 3 points to anyone on the road? They are ok, but not great.

Why do I have a feeling we’re gonna be the last team to get hit with Covid and then lose a playoff game with half our starters out?? It’s coming at the worst possible time.

Cardinals just missed a bad field goal; they said it was odd that Colt McCoy was holding.

The kicker was kicking into the laces; accuracy gone.

HOLY JONATHAN TAYLOR: my brother in law just asked me if JT went in round two and then he followed up with WHO did GB draft when they passed up Taylor ? I actually had to look it up....lol

And who scores the first TD for Colts ? #13.

Just like the Packers game.

On a date with 13 /31 numerology.

And the cardinals missed a FG with 9:40 on clock, 9 plus 4 = 13.

Found this nugget:

So which NFL fan bases have the biggest bunch of complainers? The folks at mibets.com set out to find out. The researchers surveyed more than 2,000 fans to see which NFL players, coaches and fan bases complain the most. Half of the respondents were male and 50% were female, researchers said.

So here’s your top 10, starting with “America’s Team.”

Dallas Cowboys
New England Patriots
Philadelphia Eagles
Pittsburgh Steelers
New York Jets
Green Bay Packers
Las Vegas Raiders
Chicago Bears
Cleveland Browns
New York Giants

Better for Rams or Vikings to win?

I don't think it makes a helluva lot of difference either way for the Packers. I kinda enjoy seeing the Vikings stumble and bumbling, though. Thielen went down, possibly a serious injury. That could help the Packers next week, though.

I've been watching RedZone today with no game I care a lot about. It seems like a lot of good teams are stumbling around much like the Packers the past couple of weeks, and some pretty crappy teams have been looking better - Houston, Lions, Atlanta, Jets, etc., Bengals too - they're not that bad a team, but they're maybe looking better than the Packers did against the Ravens.

Also, a lot of low back up QBs are looking decent.

Stafford keeping the Vikings in the game. Vikings scoring drives are 7 yards (FG) and 2 yards (TD). Was that a missed holding call on Ham?

HarveyWallbangers

Stafford is absolutely horrible today. Just missed a wide open OBJ 30 yards down the field.

Tim Boyle is looking like a big picture guy for the Lions hahahaha - just when they recovered a fumble and had a chance to win, he threw a red zone pick, a big boost for their effort to get a higher draft pick.

If the football team wins tonight, we can lose one of the next two.

Dallas might be the best team in the NFC right now though. It’s probably not gonna go our way.

It’s tough watching a team like Dallas peaking defensively and still has room on offense to really take another step. I think Dallas wins it this year.

Dallas destroys the Packers right now. Green Bay gotta figure out they defense.

RashanGary
12-26-2021, 09:04 PM
It sucks cuz we’re a good team almost every year. We’ve lost 4 NFCC games. And each year a new hot team comes into the playoffs like a buzz saw. This years buzz saw is the Cowboys. They’re not as good as they look against Washington right now but they are a legit defense along with an offense that is oh so close to clicking. Dallas is the team to beat.

We can get home field which would make a big difference.

But we have to beat a decent Viking team next week.

Yikes. Maybe Jaire and Z come back and Dallas loses a player or two.

RashanGary
12-26-2021, 09:06 PM
The Viking game is a playoff game for us. Our only chance is home field advantage.

I thought from the beginning that the Packers and Cowboys were the two best this season. It looks tonight like Dallas cured whatever has been ailing them, although this is just one great game after a few poor or mediocre ones. It's funny reading ya'all grass-is-greener-somewhere-else guys immediately concluding that whoever is the flavor of the week is better than the Packers. I could certainly see the Cowboys and McCarthy coming to Green Bay for the NFC championship - and losing to the Packers.

RashanGary
12-26-2021, 09:11 PM
As good as Dallas is, get them up in the frozen tundra and get a loud home field crowd…. We practice in the cold and play in the cold…. We still have a shot even though Dallas is peaking and is the better team.

Seattle was clearly the better team on paper in 2014 and GB went in and punched them in the mouth. Maybe GB can figure out a way to do it again. Of course, they need to feed their star to close the deal.

There is such a thing as peaking too early. Obviously, no coaching staff or team would ever intentionally go into a funk for a few weeks just to snap back for the playoffs, but if it happens, it happens, and it's not necessarily a bad thing. We need to see the Packers restart the engine too at some point, especially the D.

Outside of Jaire and Z coming back, the Packers don’t have the horses to get up and go on defense.

Then how did they do it for the first 2/3 or so of the season?

Guys who are backups played over their head. Their weaknesses weren't well known, but now that they've played for several weeks, the tape is out on how to attack the backups. I think a lot of teams also played conservatively on offense against us for a bit, believing that the backups would make mistakes. They didn't, so now teams are being more aggressive and using the discovered weaknesses to attack the bend but don't break defense.

Like who? I don't think something like that would take the 8 or 9 games when our D was good. The back up for Zadarius was Gary, and arguably he's been as good or better than Z. The back up for Jaire eventually became Douglas who has been damn near a superstar. The D wasn't too bad even before Douglas got rolling. I have to think they were doing something scheme-wise for most of the season until it got figured out. When they played that deep cover 2 shell, LaFleur stated that if you can do that and still stop the run, it's a great defense. Unfortunately, they stopped being able to stop the run. Do they dare load up against the run/play single high Safety, and trust our excellent Corners in single coverage? That's what I would do, at least until we get a big lead.
