I heard a rumor they play the Superb Owl even when the Packers aren't in it. So here goes.

The Bengals have never won the Superb Owl. They lost to the 49ers 20-16 in Superb Owl XXIII on January 22, 1989.

The Bengals lost Superb Owl XVI 26-21 to the 49ers on January 24, 1982.

The Los Angeles Rams lost Superb Owl LIII 13-3 to the New England Patriots on Feb. 3 2019

The St. Louis Rams lost Superb Owl XXXVI to the New England Patriots 20-17 on Feb. 3, 2002.

The St. Louis Rams won Superb Owl XXXIV, beating the Tennessee Titans 23-16 on January 30, 2000.

The Los Angeles Rams lost Superb Owl XIV to the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19 on Jan. 20, 1980

I am still miserable about that clusterfuck 69ers game, so I ain’t gonna watch. Ain’t even gonna watch the post game highlights.

That being said, go Rams go! Rooting for OBJ and Stafford and Taylor Rapp (NFL oddity is always awesome).

I also rooting for Stafford. Dude has been a stud for a long time, he deserves it...

Word.

Oh, btw, fuck Zac Taylor. If only Barry Alvarez could’ve given me that scholarship that he gave to the guy I utterly shut down, Darren Charles, I woulda broken racial barriers and became the greatest pale-skinned corner in the NFL since Jason Sehorn. I woulda been drafted by the Packers in ‘05, and woulda been good enough for Mike Sherman’s daughter.

I heard that rumor too that there's some kind of game today. I really don't give a fuck. I don't like either team, and I don't expect to watch.

APB, why didn't you walk on?

I'd love to see the Cincinnati Browns win.

Bengals inactives, all healthy scratches:

WR Trenton Irwin
CB Vernon Hargreaves
RB Trayveon Williams
OL Fred Johnson
DT Mike Daniels
DE Wyatt Ray
DT Tyler Shelvin

And TE C.J. Uzomah (knee) is active. WR Stanley Morgan (hamstring) returns for the first time since Week 18.

I find wrestling is absolutely idiotic. Mind you, I loved it as a kid in the 1960s, but I sort of grew out of it. Last watched in the early 1980's as a young dude.

the NFL can dictate the outcome of a game be deciding if they should or shouldn't throw a flag on a huge play

this is how the NFL can dictate the outcome of any game

Im gonna say this and I don’t care what anybody thinks. That was NOT pass interference against Logan Wilson on the goal line that was a great play against a really good football player but for some reason people automatically assume that an LB vs a WR is an automatic mismatch

Yep. Instead of 4th and goal at the 8, it became 1st and goal at the 4.

They've got great receivers. But they better get a better offensive line if they want Burrow to have a long career.

It was just last year that he tore his ACL. Now this. He has a great arm. He has to learn to protect the legs.

I got confused about this timeline because it was so compressed, and also thought he injured it 2 seasons ago. He was actually injured week 11 of the 2020 season, and was on the field for week 1 this year! Incredible considering he damaged all 3 ligaments, tearing 2.

I feel like the game pivoted during that Rams red zone series. No flags all game then what was it, 3 or 4 consecutive plays down there? It felt like they were going to keep trying until the Rams got their TD.

Did the refs call one of the penalties a dead ball foul, then proceed to say it was offsetting with a Rams flag on the same play or did I imagine that?

Yeah that was a bad call, especially at the end of the game when they used to let them just play ..... and I am suspicious especially after the Superbowl last year.

But the Bengels had a gimme on a major facemask OPI non call against Higgins when he went seventy five yards.

Good point there, Jaire.

But it was kinda stupid at the end of the game. That last pass interference was straight-up ticky-tack.
