View Full Version : THE FIRST QUARTET.......................WHAT IS GB'S RECORD ??

I hate to be captain obvious here, but AROD not playing in the preseason hurts GB's offense in the short term. For a bit of evidence needed, see game one last year.

We have IMO, what could be a rough first quarter of our schedule before the two bye's against the New York teams come

At Minnesots (will this be another bad start like last year)
Home Versus Da Bears (division games early in season can be challenging...like game 1)
At Tampa Bay vs Brady and da Bucs.....aka.....the team that owns GB
Home Versus Hoody Genius (the league is more fair now that Hoodie Genius Jr is on Oakland)

So what say you rats, what will our record be after 4 games ?

Old? Sheeeesh. I didn't even look at who we play those 4 games. It's a slam dunk we win them.

Debating between 3 and 1 and 2-2 but I went with 3-1

So two people in here are actually on record saying we will lose to the Vikings hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Think about that. I would ask the others, WHO do ya'all think we will lose to?

I went 3-1 hoping our loss is vs tb not min. Ok so want the 1st 2 wins. It will be soooo sweet to take over the wins from the bears in Chicago.

Agree with Upnorth. I'd be happy with 3-1 at the (approximate) quarter pole with an offense still figuring itself out and getting Bahk/Jenkins/Tonyan back. A fast start the first two games would be great - especially since they're division games - but I think they'll be a struggle.

TB has a lot of veterans; I wonder if they start fast and wear down over the season.

Vikings loss in game 1 - replay of last year against NO.
Home win vs the Bears because they are the Bears.
Loss at the Bucs, because Brady missed most of the preseason getting a new horseshoe installed.
Win versus NE at home

2 - 2

I said 2-2. I don’t think the passing game or special teams will be up to par in the early part of the season.

The running game, Rodgers and coach B can certainly prove me wrong.

4-0. Rodgers declares "we have a defense" before D and ST cost us the next 2.

I like their chances in Minnesota. Packers front 7 should control things against Vikings OL.

The 4-0's are eliminated; 3-1 was the safest call. I should have had balls and predicted 2-2 as I was on the fence. I predicted they'd lose week 1; now I'd say 2 and 2

That ship has sailed. Me and Sparky aren’t letting anyone on board. We split this treasure between us two.

i think we can luck one out against the bears at home, but we might get our asses kicked the two after that

That was a BIG disappointment. Minny has a new offense, they're not supposed to know what they're doing yet, but somehow they marched right down the field on that first drive and the GB defense looked like the usual GB punching-bag defense. I was so disappointed.

That was a gut punch. And then Watson running wide open and dropping the ball didn’t make it much better. And then Zadarius looking like the Zadarius we knew and loved but for the other guys made it worse. And then Rodgers looking frustrated and pissed off didn’t make it better. And Jefferson wide open…. That game was a gut punch.

Shitheads pumping themselves up about a rotten Packer loss - shame on you and any others like you.

Tampa looks really good. Bears and NE shouldn't be losses though. I figure the opener against the Vikes was like last year's opener at the Saints. The team came back in that game 2 against the Lions (at home) and crushed them. There is no way AR struggles two games in a row. I just don't see that happening. Zero chance. The Bears-49ers game was interesting in that the weather was horrific and it looked like the 49ers quit. One of the Bears players said you could "see it in their eyes" as the game wore on. LOL, I've checked the weather forecast for Green Bay and it doesn't look like another mudder game (maybe some light rain).

Yeah, I think the only top-tier opponent remaining in the first 4 on the schedule is the Bucs. They look pretty stout.

Should have let me on board with the .500 train; it's all cleared off now and it's looking like the 3-1 ship is getting ready to vacation :)))

Yeah, I’m stuck on this 2-2 ship. It might be sinking.

Pretty much all of the best teams have a loss already. I think only Miami and Philadelphia are 3-0, and you know that ain't gonna last. Parity? Goodell design? Or pure luck? I'll go with the last one.

We’re kind of a lucky 3-1. I thought the passing offense would take a bit. And it has. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Doubs and Watson will improve.

Packers have not dominated any game. Lions have been in every game. But Packers are 3-1 and Lions are 1-3. Good teams find ways to win the games that could go either way.

And Rodgers will build chemistry with the rookies. If we get some health luck, the offense could really be something by November and even better by January.

i was close

we went to overtime vs a 3rd stringer and we barely beat tampa without any receivers

if it wasn't for getting lucky with other teams injuries, we probably are 1-3 right now
