CBS Late - Most of the country, including Alaska and Hawaii will get Jets at Dallas. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo with the call.

Are they playing football in Philly or hot potato?

Are they playing football in Philly or hot potato?

Sloppy mess. Both sides. Minny defense playing well so far.

Vikings got a real stuooped touchback.

Vikings got a real stuooped touchback.

At least it was Philly that challenged to get the touch back, instead of Minnesota challenging to get a touchdown and winding up losing the ball.

Looking like a real real good draft pick next year. Works for me.

They'll figure out a way to go 8-9.

The season's off to a damn good start. Much as I hate the Vikings, and much as some try to prop up the Lions as somehow good, this is still another loss for our top competition in the division.

The bears mess everything up, but I don’t like the idea of the Vikings getting one of these QBs coming out.

The Bears may wind up with 2 top 5 picks, but the Vikings have some wins in them. The biggest reason they are 0-2 instead of 2-0 is turnovers. That's easier to fix during a season than a lack of talent or poor coaching like the Bears have.

I'm not surprised. Philly would have been favored against them in a playoff matchup last year, and you could easily argue PHI got better and MIN got worse in the offseason.
MIN is a better team than CHI. It's still early though, weird things can happen.

Either way, the hot takes from rube fans on the call-in shows are pretty tasty.

Ohhhhh so that’s how Rodgers will end up in purple…

It’s all starting to make sense.:glug:

I'm fairly sure the damned Vikings are sticking with Cousins come hell or high water. He was mediocre when they overpaid him, and he still is. And as somebody said above, it was turnovers stupidity of interceptions or maybe fumbles, the same kind of QB carelessness and stupidity that many in here seem to downplay or even crave that kills teams - the kind of thing that Rodgers was so great about and in the early returns, Love seems pretty good about too.

I don't know what to make of the Vikes yet. Not sure if the new defensive coordinator is the real deal - they played well in the first half, though the announcers indicated they still have a talent deficit on that side.

It would be weird to be that head coach - your second year, and you've built your offense for Kirk Cousins, and you're going to lose him after this season. I have no idea if the guy is a good coach, and no idea if the organization is going to give him some time to sort things out. Ras would probably know better than most of us.

If I'm reading Over the Cap correctly, his contract voids after this year, so there is a fair chance they will move on. Or maybe they will sign him for 1-2 years and draft someone to learn behind him (if they learned anything from the Packers success).

That's what I think they're going to do. He's shown in the past a willingness to play on a 1 year contract.

I imagine the Jest will be monitoring the Cousins situation closely. Better not tell Aaron, though!

I think they are much better than 0-2 .

I'm going to a sports bar to try to find a TV showing the Packers-Falcons today. Loins fans are ready to act all tough and crap - the Lions are playing that "everybody hates us" card already, so it's that "if we're going to be the bad guys, let's embrace it." They're doing that by having the fans wear blue ski masks today.

They think they're going to look intimidating and cool, but they'll probably look more like Robbert from SimpliSafe:

LOL There is the possibility that DET struggles with handling success this year. They are certainly talented, but they were also a lot of people's offseason darlings.
Maybe the fans should go back to wearing bags over their heads.

They are better than CHI for sure. I don't think anyone really knows anything until sometime in October. That's when we'll have a better idea of which teams are good, meh, or trash-fires.
