Well, I'll try my luck starting a game thread. I doubt it has any outcome on the game, but whatever. It's worth a try.

Winning this game is my last hope for a decent season. The Lions are a bad team, scoring 13 points all season. Their defense looked good last week, but this weekend they got lit up by Grossman. We've improved from last week, and we should beat them, but should doesn't count, so we can only hope.

Well, if it makes anyone feel better, EVERYONE in Lion land is bitterly bitching about the Lions and predicting that the Pack will win next week.

I have respect for the Saints & new star Reggie Bush...but...losing at home to the Saints while allowing 380 yards & 34 points is just plain BAD.

Is should be an even match, Packers at Lions, but it won't be.

Put up or shut up time next week. It's time to get some production from everyone, and Brett Favre's drive to improve and win, will carry this team next weekend.

Well, I must admit, given the last 2 games and the Pack's indoor woes... you've succumbed to the Kool-Aid.

IF that happens (and that's a huge IF), Lions' fans may have to have another march to get rid of Millen.

They're a young team with questionable talent... it's not like they're a young team full of future pro bowlers.

Young/bad teams find ways to lose... They'll be in this game, but ultimately will find a way to lose it.

New York Jets @ Lambeau on December 3rd, and Detroit @ Lambeau on December 17th seem like our best chances of getting a win this season.

I don't think we'll go winless... but, ya never know.

Kool-aid tasted good? Hey, be a Packer fan for crying out loud. Naivety ain't a crime though. I predicted a 6-10 record - now that's naive! Still gonna be a Packer but I'm gonna speak my mind when things are this bad.

FritzDontBlitz

the one thing that scares me about the lions game is the dome hex combined with taking the rookies on the road. rookies tend to do better in friendly territory than on the road.

Fritz

Well, after the first Lions' game against the Seahawks, the fans were quietly optimistic. They liked Marinelli's response - close isn't good enough, so what if we stayed close? - and they thought this team would play Chicago really tough.

All the drumbeating by the Detroit coaching staff about wanting "men" who wanted to win at all costs, that would give their lives to win, blah blah blah, played really well here.

But after a thrashing at the hands of the Bears - it was worse than the Packers' loss - they seem to think it's the same ol', same ol' Lions.

I have a million questions, though, will Koren see playing time at receiver? Will Spitz be back and if so, does Colledge start in place of Moll or no? Will Morency play RB or stick with KR/PR? Can we put some stick 'em on Bubba's hands 'til he gets his confidence back?

By the way, since I was so down on the officiating in the first week, I must say that they seem to have done a much better job with the second, though I really didn't see where Bubba bumped the ref...

For those that didnt see it in the last game thread:

In a effort to get that damn W, official game threads can only be started by someone who hasnt made one yet. If the Pack wins week that poster will make the following week(s) thread. A loss means that poster cant make another official game thread for the rest of this season.

In other words...

If the Packers lose, blame it on BallHawk!!!!

Here's my take on this game...

The Lions feel their offense has been stifled by some of the league's top defenses - and they're right (STL, CHI). Today, they'll try and stretch the field by going up top against a defense that has given up lots of big plays.

Despite this hole in the Packer's defense, the Lions are unproven and won't do as well as their gameplan may suggest.

The Packer's offense does another 180 and has a decent running game w/ Morency spelling AG for a combined 25 carries for 100 yards and a TD.

Favre gets #400 but no one outside the GB faithful knows/cares.

Packers lose a close game and struggle w/ finding the few plays that make the difference b/w a road, division win and another 'close loss'.

Hey guys,

I have to go to work at 2:00 (yuck)

I record it anyway...I just like to watch ever play. It's just as good when I watch it after I guess although, I don't really have a life with full time school and work. God...Poor me :( OK pity party's over. Hard work pays off and I wouldnt' do it if I didn't want the outcome bad enough.

I know we're probably all on the same page here but aren't we all looking for big cutback lanes and no big plays given up on D.

If those two things get fixed we're almost an average team. They need to get our gusy prepared because we're not getting out physicalled too badly, we're just getting out played fundamentally.

New coaching staff gets some lee way, but unlike a new GM, they don't even get a full season to start showing progress. I want to see something today. Even if we lose, I want to see these two things get better damn it.

Jennings is a little faster and a little more explosive than Driver. Driver would have gotten tackled on teh sideline. Jennings blew past the defenders. He's tough too.....200lbs is about perfect to break tackles.

Favre is going to lvoe Jennings. Hell, Rodgers/Jennings is going to be even bigger. That right there built confidnece. That was the start of Favre's confidnece in teh young guy. When your WR's can rack up 80 like that you tend ot wnat to get him the ball

Favre threw about a seven yard hitch to Jennings, who did a wicked spin move to get away from three lions, then he motored down the right sideline, with Driver doing a good job on the last guy with a chance. But Jennings showed some great quicks.

It was a definite YAC type of thing, but Favre hit him in rhythm and gave the thing a chance to get going.

ok, our DB's just don't know what they are doing. When the motion went, Woodson checked out, and the LB pointed at williams and then pointed at himself saying I HAVE HIM....then on the snap of the ball, Collins drifted to his Right, and the LB stayed up, and Williams went unguarded until collins was able to run back across the field.....

My opinion - start blitzing everyone - play recievers one on one - we can't cover worth crap with more than one, so if we get beat, at least get to the QB.

Why was Collins complaining after that play to the official? Did he get picked or held downfield? The replay doesn't show anything...

WTF? Do we have a LB that can cover Williams? Does anybody have a LB that can cover Williams?
