Longwell's big day....

3 field goals (one in overtime to win it) and one TD pass. He even had a touchback.

Congratulations to him, but I wish he didn't play in our division.

Ryan Longwell is responsible for the Vikings being 2-0. I hope they appreciate him.

The question in my opinion is if Dave Raynor would make those kicks as well.

What I'm wondering is which special teams specialist is going to have a better year passing: Longwell or Ryan.

Ryan jumped out to an early lead last week, but I believe Longwell has a higher passer rating now.

The Vikings were VERY fortunate to win that game, basically Fox blew it by calling a screwey trick play on a return that backfired giving the Vikings great field position at a time when the Panthers DL absolutely dominated the right side of the Vikings line. Peppers was amazing thanks to his outstanding ability and Marcus Johnson. The Vikings running game was spotty although Taylor broke a few including the run that setup the game winner. Troy Williamson is one fast dude, Brad Johnson was on his way down when he flung it to Williamson (sort of Favre like) and he turned on the jets on that last drive on 3rd and 11 (I think that was the situation).

Anyway, Vikes defense played outstanding in the second half, with Henderson and Napoleon Harris playing extremely well. Great call on the fake FG....Childress said they saw a flaw in the firlm on Carolina and put it in. The perfect situation arose and they pulled it off.

Bears will be a very tough game.

Gotta have some luck in this league as well, so I'll take it. I know where FA money or draft will be used next year (RT).
