It's 4th Down and 7 yards to go. The Packers are down by 4 points, at the Phily 35 yard Line with 1 Minute and 55 seconds left in the game and no timeouts left.
Matty Comes out with a 3 Wide Receiver, and one Tight end set. Everybody is healthy.

I want Watson because his speed prevents defensive coverage from being too aggressive. I want Wicks because he's your best route runner. So it comes down to Reed vs Doubs. I go with Reed because he's your best guy in the slot.

Watson provides matchup issues.
Doubs is Love's go to on third down.
Reed vs Wicks doesn't matter that much to me. I picked Reed.

I want Reed and Wicks on the field. They are the best combination of speed, route running and hands. I chose Watson over Doubs because Watson's speed needs to be respected, and if nothing else, will clear some space for the others.

4th and 7 so you can fantasize all you want. It isn’t going to about speed it is going to be who can make the sure catch. Doubs will be on the field for that type of down. The question really should have been what other two with him.

I think I'd say Doubs and Reed are the automatics. But I wanted to provide all options; it's what the pollmeister does :)

In the most homerish way I went with Watson over Reed. That was due to wanting/hoping badly Watson shows up big this season. It’s one of this season major what ifs. Truth is he hasn’t earned my vote over Reed so I have to agree with Red now.

Over Reed? Watson would be in over Doubs or Wicks. Reed had more catches and a higher catch percentage than Doubs. He's trending to be the top receiver on the team. Wicks might be the odd man out if Watson take a jump, but I think Wicks will also take a jump. Personally, on 4th and 7, I'm putting all 4 in along with Musgrave and telling the O-line to hold against a blitz.

I cannot wait to see the Pack run 5 WR sets and then the next series run 2 TE sets.

Your post is exactly what I am talking about with Watson. Everything is would, might, and if when is comes to Watson. You are like me banking on his potential and our hopes and dreams. No way he is ahead of Doubs at this time. Just that he can and probably should be.

I have not voted in this poll. Why not? Because literally ALL of those combinations, and you could probably go another couple of receivers beyond that are absolutely excellent. I do want to say this about Watson in the context of the poll question, though. BECAUSE he is that speed threat, he not only makes getting open easier for everybody else even in the scenario of the poll, but he is better able to pull up/stop on a dime and catch a pass for a first down.

I went Wicks, Reed, Watson but I think the difference is slim. I would love to see a 5 wide set occasionally with the talent available at WR.

Except we have seen him have some great games when he is healthy. His catch% isn't as good as some of the others, but deep balls are lower percentage. The question supposes that everyone is healthy, and his injuries have been the biggest thing holding him back. Wicks over Doubs is much less justifiable, but the flashes I've seen make me think he will leapfrog Doubs. One thing for certain is that those four plus Melton make for a hell of a receiving corps. No more calling them a receiving corpse like a couple of years ago.

hahahahaha Sorry, but it's too close a call to choose. You shoulda had an "all of the above" choice.

I would choose different WR at different points on the field. Inside the red zone I am benching Watson. Outside the red zone, I am keeping Watson to make Ds respect the deep ball. Doubs would sit because I think Reed and Wicks will be better this year.

I lean the opposite about Watson. I want his height and jumping ability in the red zone, especially deeper in the redzone. Further out in the redzone, where you still have 25 yards or so with the endzone depth, his speed is still a factor.

I took Doubs over Watson because he’s much more reliable. Reed has the speed to keep safeties back. So does musgrave.

Since the question is about one do-or-die 4th--and-mid play (rather than a whole game or even a posession), I don't mind burning Watson's hamstring, even if it's just using him as a decoy to diagnose and open up the D. Everybody's healthy? As long as Watson can roll off to the sidelines, great.
I thought Doubs was the super-reliable one, but the Wicks thread sez he's got a higher catch percentage. I picked both. What does Reed bring to the party that the others don't?
I kinda wanted Melton on the list, too, but I'm chronically out of the loop.
