Thanks, Joe.

Lions' fans are certain it's the Super Bowl this year. And they are pumped to be Sunday Night Football. Not been a lot of prime time games here.

And I just wanna say Fuck Aaron Rodgers. I don't really know why; he's not on the Packers any more. Why should I care how he does? But I wanted to say it anyway. Fuck that guy.

Stop it, Tex might think you are rooting for DET.

This is why you should care at least this Monday...... we have to root for Santo Erron because he is playing his nemesis (and ours) SF. Then when they come to Lambeau in Nov the Packers can eliminate them from the playoffs.

Wild. The dude plays HOF level for our team for more than a decade, but fuck that guy? Nah, the dude's an all-time great Packer. If it doesn't hurt our SB odds or our team, I hope he has all the success in the world and maybe one day can even actually perform with a woman instead of just beating off onto her hip while she sleeps.

So, split the difference and root for the Jets after SF blows out Rodgers other Achilles on the third play.

That might, however, ruin Love's trade value to the Jets in 10-12 years.

I know, I know. He was probably the greatest Packer QB I ever watched play (I saw Bart Starr on TV at the end of his career and Brett Favre about three or four times in person). I just did not like what a sour human he seemed to become.

Baltimore has spent several drafts ignoring the OL and drafting weapons for their MVP who can't really read a defense. He definitely can't do it fast enough with that OL they keep trotting out there. Lets look at the recent history. Maholmes and Brady dominated the Owl. Neither ever had elite WRs. And Worth isn't yet either.

Yeah, all the Derrick Henry in the world isn't going to help when he's getting hit in the backfield by two gigantic defensive linemen.

This will be a good test for Rasheed Walker. If he really is going to be the guy-you-never-have-to-talk-about-because-he-does-his-job-so-well, then tonight's a good place to start.

I also don't know how ol' Josh Myers is going to hold up. As others have said, he's good getting out to the second level, but he struggles with that first level.. Jenkins and Tom should be fine, so that leaves center and right guard as possible weak spots. Especially, of course, right guard.

But Sean Ryhan seems to be aware he's playing for his career now - is he ever going to be a real starter or just bounce around as a backup? - so my hope is that his conditioning is finally okay and he can handle the assignment while Jordan Morgan heals and learns.

I'm also curious as to who the backup RB will be. I'm guessing Wilson, since he appears to be okay and also knows the playbook, which is to say in his case, he knows the blocking assignments he's got. I don't think the backup RB will get more than four or five carries.

Are the Vikings crazy?

Up 28-6 with under 5 minutes to go against a team that has shown little of nothing on offense, the Vikings still have Aaron Jones in the game and have him carry the ball on five of the next six plays. After getting 19 on his first carry, he gets the ball the next two plays. Even after the 2 minute warning, on 2nd and six they gave him the ball.

I respect everything he did for GB, but if he was my #1 back, as he is for MN, I would find every opportunity to minimize the wear and tear on him.

Nice game for Jones, 14/94.

ONLY Mike McCarthy could send his FG kicker out at the end of the half with four seconds left for a record-tying 66 yard field goal, watch the play clock wind down, NOT call one of his two remaining timeouts, get his offense called for delay of game, and negate the 66-yarder his kicker put through the uprights before the refs blew the whistle.

The Browns’ giving up the farm for DeShaun Watson, coupled with the mega-guaranteed contract they gifted him, might go down in NFL history as THE stupidest QB trade in history, surpassing the infamous John Hadl trade by our Green Bay Packers.

Sure, Hadl was old already and Watson was young, but Watson was and is of highly suspect character, to the point, if you recall, that other QB-needy teams wouldn’t even sniff around.

That, and bouncing around from game to game I saw a bunch of illegal procedure penalties, as in the offenses couldn't even line up correctly, let alone move and getoff the snaps together.

You'd think most of these guys have seen no live snaps other than an hour or two of shared practices.

Minnesota -- do they have their new QB?

Bears -- lol.... what's to say? That O-line was really bad (though Simmons who was my draft crush and the Billings dude are total studs). Caleb Williams has all the talent, tried to stay in the pocket, but how long will he take to see the field? Don't take a top 10 receiver over a top ten o lineman when you have a rookie QB and a bad OL.

How is that not unabated to the QB? SF D player was past the OT.

ARod with his 2nd dime to Lazard this drive for a TD.

How many of you thought Lazard was gonna drop it?

Yeah, that's definitely PI on Yiadom. Pulled Wilson's arms down before the ball got there. Could have been led better by Rodgers.

That’s all folks for the jest. Was never really a contest. Can’t blame Rodgers too much since his WRs can’t catch.

His eye-rolling is in mid-season form, though!

Weird seeing Rodgers as strictly a pocket passer though. Not sure it will work.

Even when he couldn’t walk last season he still kept up on the rolls. That’s dedication!

From the parts I watched, Rodgers's arm strength is still impressive. But he's becoming absolutely Lynn Dickey-esque in terms of his (lack of) mobility.

The Jest's O-line seemed to do him no favors, either.

My favorite part of it all, though, was at one point, when ABC was going to break, they put - as they often do - a player-reaction shot of one of the players in the game. It was, of course, Rodgers - in FULL EYE-ROLL MODE. It was awesome.

"Welp, they're up by two touchdowns in the fourth. No reason to risk injury. Y'all play good for Mr. Tyrone, or whatever."

Agree. I'm glad I don't have to watch GB games where they pan to the QB's face after every incomplete pass to see if they can capture an eyeroll or other reaction. That was annoying.
Rodgers' wheels are gone, but what do you expect from a 40 year old being chased by bloodthirsty 25 year olds?

The Jets OL is better this year than last, but it's still not great.

One last comment: Rodgers didn't even pass for 200yards. In fact, he hasn't cracked 300 yards since December 12, 2021 Yuck-quality QBs like Daniel Jones, Russell Wilson, Baker Mayfield, and Derek Carr have done better since.
Speaking of post-Achilles QB's, Kirk Cousins looked scared and shaky. You wonder about these old QBs coming back from that injury. Not For Long.

Is it better to be scared and shaky or aggravated and annoyed? Those seem to be the choices for a team if they have an elderly QB.

Yeah, Rodgers’s stat line was very pedestrian. First game back after missing a season, sure. It’ll be interesting to watch where it goes from here. Give it eight or ten games and see where the Jest offense is and whether they might have buyer’s remorse.
