Damn, might be my two most hated teams playing each other. Hopefully they wreck each other and tie.

Rasul Douglas started and looks to be playing pretty well. Didn't understand why the Pack felt the need to get rid of him mid-season the way they did.

They weren’t going to pay him a long term deal. It was worth it to move up two rounds for a guy you weren’t going to keep.

They already paid him the signing bonus. Might as well pay the base salaries.

Sure be nice to have a kicker like that

But the Lions lost, and the Packers won, so all is good!

I put $45 on a money-line parlay featuring Dallas, SF, Bal, along with SD and PHI. Apparently, I am a “mooch.”

Need Cin to upset KC to win a $40 parlay @ +620. Pack and Cin.

Here's the YahooSports headline. I love it.

"Jets outlast Titans despite inconsistent play from Aaron Rodgers-led passing game"

Apparently he threw mostly just short stuff, as if he were a backup QB new to a team trying to get by.

You should put $100+ on KC to make sure you are a winner.

i looked at the box score after our game ended, he had 116 yards and 2 tds late in the 4th quarter before their last drive

i know one of his td "passes" was pretty much a forward handoff

Rodgers went 18/30 and 176 yards. Both TDs were on throws to the RBs who did most of the work (although they were nice throws). Titans did Titans-y things, and despite having a chance to tie didn't.

It looks like Rodgers is mentally sharp and still has a decent arm, but he can't escape the pocket anymore. I have a hard time thinking he'll play all 17 games. Also, he still does the bleed the clock down thing and ad-libs with his secret signal offense. Hackett's not going to stop him.

Brealon Allen and Breece Hall had decent games.

For TEN, Calvin Ridley played well and looks fast. I'm skeptical of GB's chances on the road next week, but if Hafley can force Will Levis into exceeding his bonehead quota, anything is possible. Out of habit ("The Barry Effect") I just expect lower tier starting QBs to have career days against the D.

Zebras botched the spot on the punt at the end of the first half in KC/CIN, costing the Bengals almost three full yards and pinning them down at the one-yard line. Had this resulted in a safety, it would have been one of the most egregious calls of the year.

Gunner threw the ball back in from the end zone, and it was downed at the four. Inexplicably, the referees placed the ball exactly at the one.

First, Bears lose. And they, therefore, still suck.

Secondly, I dunno what tripped your trigger about number 9 - Juquan Brisker…but no shit - he has an interesting lineage. Check out his uncle John Brisker. A mind blowing pro basketball player that was (is?) a full bubble off level. Look him up. He was a true nut case when he played pro ball. Long story boring, the US State Department has not recognized him as legally dead.

The hand in the face was obvious as fuck.

The DPI, the DB was trying to make a play on the ball, as is his rights. Contact was incidental. Plus, zebras typically let the play play out as is in crunch situations, unless the infraction is blatant as fuck.

Incompetent zebras robbed me of $300. :x

Out of 53 players, I'd bet that somebody on just about every team among the position players at least kicked in high school. Teams oughta have some kind of emergency option in case their kicker gets hurt like the Giants guy.

He looked good in stretches but if he keeps playing like he did he won't last a full season in the NFL.

He needs to slide, he needs to get out of bounds a yard earlier, he needs to get the ball out quick when the other team blitzes.

Brisker does the fruity Michael Jackson broken wrists celebration when something hood happens on the field. He doesn't have to be involved.

When complaining to the zebras, he cocks his ass out like he's about to get pulled by the prison bull. Insufferable.

You have to have money on the game to consider a full body slam with a head slap as 'incidental'.

How much of a train wreck are the Panthers? Dave Tepper is a terrible owner.
They gave up Caleb Williams, Darnell Wright (or Jalen Carter, after the Bears trade), DJ Moore, plus 2 R2 picks so they could draft Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. When the BEARS have fleeced you in a trade, you know you screwed up.

I liked Young coming out of college, but he's small and that doesn't work well at QB. Bad coaching and a bad OL are going to ruin him.

Excellent point. Davae Tepper is the new Dan Snyder, mebbe. I can't see how Bryce "Short and" Young becomes anything more than a journeyman QB who knocks around the NFL for several years. And that's his ceiling.

Also, Loins' fans licking their wounds this week, but optimistic that they will go to AZ and stifle Kyle Murray while "Only at" Jarad's Goff gets his bad self untracked. Maybe Dan Campbell should take a page from the MLF playbook and run the ball instead of having Goff fling it around 55 times.

I someone point out that Sam Darnold actually has a history of starting out well and then turning into a pumpkin after a few weeks. Should fit in with Minny.

O'Connell is a really good coach and Flores is doing wonders with that defense, but if they go .500 it will be a surprise to many.
Also, recall two years ago they had all those miracle wins and yet many called them frauds... they lost right away in the playoffs IIRC.

Winning agiainst SF is a big deal, but the Niners are quite depleted right now, too. The team has good bones, but I expect the QB is going to cost them down the line.
