This has been an interesting season. I'm wondering if there'll be an offensive line shakeup here in the next week or two - Morgan at RG, Monk at center?
Let's hope Wyatt and Alexander are back, especially Wyatt.

I thought Rhyan was looking pretty solid at guard. If anything, just replace Myers.

I think we can all agree that he is the weakest link. Maybe they should make Myers a blocking tight end or H back since he seems to block better in space.
I wonder how Monk is progressing. I know Mike Wahle said he was rough around the edges, but Wahle has a big boner for Monk, too.

Everyone except Tex, who apparently likes his centers to puke on the ball occasionally.

I was ready to write Murry off and suddenly he is making less boneheaded plays. I guess it takes a few years for some guys. Answer me this. Who has more raw physical talent, Willis or Murry? Other than foot speed I think Willis is better on every measurable. Bigger, stronger, better arm, equal accuracy and I don't think Murry is especially heady for a QB but Willis did exactly what was asked of him when they gameplanned for him.
I know I'm outside looking it, but sometimes I wonder what GMs see that I don't. Murry is the guy our rush is designed to stop. Collapse the pocket from the inside, ends force any run to go lateral and LBs clean him up. Force him to be a pocket passer which Murry is not good at.
AZ is so up and down I just don't know what to think, but having them in GB helps for sure. This should be a win, but when a QB runs a playground offense it can be unpredictable. Hopefully they contain murry and frustrate him so McKinney can get another pick.

Other than Bobble the rest haven’t even mentioned AZ. Don’t sleep on these mofo this is a tougher game than the Rams. Even though he sucked last week Lil Marvin is for real so hopefully Packers welcome his ass to the NFL.

Let a few imbeciles whine about Myers. LaFleur and the staff and I like what we see - the best of the run game right over his spot and not a whole lot of pass rush up the middle.
Who is "Lil Marvin"?
It seems like our D has done pretty well against running QBs this year. Hopefully that continues against Murray.

They began as the Chicago Cardinals. Moved to St. Louis, where I remember them in the 70’s. Jim Hart was a pretty good quarterback, and they had a world-class tight end - Jackie . . . Jackie . . . damn, help me out, you old guys.
If the Packers can’t get a win at home against a middling team like the Cards, we’re gonna be pooping our pants and wondering if we drank too much kool aid this year.

With Romeo Doubs back, Devante Wyatt (ankle) is only player on #Packers’ 53-man roster not practicing. Christian Watson (ankle) and Luke Musgrave (ankle) returned to practice.

Jackie Smith. He's in the HOF.
Jim Hart flourished in the years of the Coryell Cardinals. His successor, Neil Lomax, wasn't an absolute mess either... for those eras.

They will need Jaire for this game. Valentine too.
Expect the noise about the pass rush to continue; I'd expect a lot of the mush-rush/contain thing here with Murray.
You want to hit him (he's little for a QB) but more than anything you want to keep him in the pocket so he has to blindly throw over his linemen -- right to McKinney.
Will not be an easy game. The Cards are a weird and unpredictable team. James Conner could give the run D problems. If Jordan starts playing more like "2nd half last year Jordan" and takes better care of the ball GB should win. On paper they are the better team.
I'm hoping Edgerrin Cooper and Evan Williams (along with Bullard) see more snaps as well. These rookies can play.

I like the fact that they won last week. Teams let down a little the week after a big win.
Sometimes you get the feeling that the old Lambeau mystique deal works slightly against us. Will the sight of the holy temple of Pro Football elevate these kids from AZ?
I hope not.

I think our defense plays far better against mobile QBs than great pocket passers. A running QB used to be our kryptonite, but no longer. I’m not particularly worried about the Cards. They are a decent team, but Love is due for a strong outing, Doubs will be out to redeem himself, and I expect Ja to be back and help considerably in coverage. Cooper and Williams should see a ton of playing time.
The Cardinals defense is mediocre. At home, the Packers offense will simply be too much.
so we're back on fox?
anyone else find it odd that the last 2 games, against NFC teams were on CBS?
has the whole fox=nfc, cbs= afc been thrown out the window?

The only time there's a Lambeau mystique is when the Packers have good teams. They pretty much Beetlejuiced their way through the 70's.

That was part of the new TV contracts. Likely has to do with networks wanting to pick the big matchups for their “on streaming only” games. Besides, NFC games are always more fun.

The Green Bay Packers are signing tight end John FitzPatrick off the practice squad of the Atlanta Falcons, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
A corresponding roster move will need to be made to fit FitzPatrick on the 53-man roster.
The Packers have three tight ends on the roster currently, but Luke Musgrave has been dealing with an ankle injury. He was active last week but didn’t play any snaps, and he was limited during Wednesday’s practice.
FitzPatrick (6-7, 250) was a sixth-round pick (213th overall) of the Falcons in the 2022 draft. He spent the 2022 season on injured reserve but played in nine games for the Falcons last season, catching one pass for 12 yards. He was on the field for 18 offensive snaps and 83 special teams snaps.
Of the 18 snaps, FitzPatrick was a run blocker on 11.
The Falcons released FitzPatrick at final cutdowns but signed him to the team’s initial practice squad.

Fuck 6’7 and 250!! But can the mofo catch? Too tall to out jump and too big to manhandle.
1 target 1 catch in 2023. Well damn 100%!!

So . . . Musgrave to IR.
Maybe we'll get some Ben Sims sightings this week. He's not a bad player. He can block, he can catch. Not a lot of YAC, I don't think, but he seems pretty solid.

I'd be surprised if Musgrave goes to IR. He's hurt, but he dressed last week basically as an emergency TE because Kraft is dinged up.
This signing means they don't need to elevate Andrew Beck from the PS again. This Fitz guy is almost strictly a blocking TE going back to his days at UGA.

It was hard to hear for sure, but I think MLF said Musgrave likely to go to IR. Was asked if he expects Musgrave back this year: "That's the hope".

WOW, must be a worse injury than expected. Bummer, he's had a slow start but could have been used as potential mismatch weapon. Him and Watson being hurt sucks.

To channel my inner Capitan Kickass, call up the Messiah. He’ll wreck them damn Cardinals to hell for the sins they committed upon our former lord and savior, A-Rod, especially in those two playoffs game.

#Packers Friday practice:
No Luke Musgrave (ankle) or Devonte Wyatt (ankle).
Matt LaFleur said Thursday Musgrave is “more than likely” heading to IR.
Newly added tight end John FitzPatrick (86) on the field today.
