Defense was all over the place today. About the only bad play was Quays dropped INT.

This wasn't a wire-to-wire boat racing.
That game was competitive for the 2nd quarter and most of the 3rd quarter.
Jordan Love completed ONE pass in the 3rd quarter, and starting with the dropped deep throw at the end of the 2nd quarter threw six straight incompletions. A couple of those were drops, but it was a spotty showing there and kept SF in the game longer than they should have.

Once Allen fumbled on the LVN sack I think they threw in towel.
SF was sloppy and undermanned, they committed too many penalties (and eventually turnovers) and didn't deserve to win.

Josh Jacobs was THE MAN. McKinney too. Gute gets a thumbs up for those signings. If Darnell Savage is still the safety he isn't breaking up the 4th down throw to CMC, or making that pick (he'd drop it).

Also - I read some SF fans think Deebo is washed. He had that nice KO return (called back by penalty) but otherwise didn't hurt GB much. He had two drops.

Where was Jayden Reed? Did the SF D scheme to take him out of the game? Felt like a game where he needed to be more involved.

The McKinney INT was the play of the game. 49ers were very much in it until Packers scored following INT.

Agree. That turned the game from 17-7 with SF on the GB 45 to a short TD drive ending with a Jacobs TD with a few minutes left in the 3Q. Being up 17 points puts a lot of pressure on a Shanahan offense, especially with a backup QB.

Jacob's forced 15 missed tackles- most by a running back this season.

They mentioned something about it during the game. Very un-Jones like in an awesome way.

Well, no one could accuse Love of being Captain Checkdown today.

The only reason that the 49ers remained in the game was due to a lack of turnovers in the first half. Honestly, it is difficult to beat someone by 4 TDs if they do not turn the ball over. Outside of one drive, they did not muster very much offensively. I never felt like the game was in doubt after jumping out to a 10-0 lead.

The Packers offense remains discombobulated. The passing game should be more effective than it has been with how we are running the ball, but the play calling and execution have been lackluster. Receivers also need to hold on to catchable balls. It was the first game that Love didn’t have an INT, although it wasn’t for his lack of trying.

You know what the SF on the Niner's helmets stands for, right?

Season Finished.

Josh Jacobs Jingleheimer Schmidt with 83 yards after first contact!

The 9ers fake end around, fake flea fucker, eventual screen pass, was a pleasure to watch.

Emanuel Wilson seems like he's been quietly excellent as a backup running back.

The return of the double motion misdirection in the backfield!

What's the story behind the little two hands together with the 3x wiping motion followed by a bow and arrow mimic pointing gesture after a 1st down?

Don't know about the hand wipes (haven't relly noticed it) but the "bow and arrow" is actually mimicking the Usain Bolt victory pose.

They are simply reminding Packer fans to be sure and wash their hands thoroughly after using the restroom.

I was thinking it was the ‘making it rain’ at the strip club kinda action.

Yeah, that's what it looked like to me.

I didn't know where else to put this but I read it just now and found it interesting:

Green Bay is the only team that's started five of its own draft picks on the O-line in every game this season.

Seems like an old school, throwback kind of strategy but perhaps everything old is new again. Kinda like the much hated resurgence of the unflattering Mom-Jeans worn by the ladies.

Homegrown is fine by me as long as it's good quality and it's effective.

OL play is pretty synergistic. Knowing the system and what the guy next to you is going to do on any given stunt is everything. Keeping 5 guys in the system and having them play off each other is more important than anything except possibly QB/WR synergy. It could explain why our OL sum is greater than the parts. Also explains why a guy like Rhyan couldn't find the field, but has become serviceable with time in the system. He is still a below average pass blocker, but he seems to handle his responsibilities to the minimum which is just enough. Add in that he has become a really good run blocker and a "flop" has become an asset. Ok, gotta go shower, I feel dirty after complementing Rhyan.

Yes indeed.
As Neil Young crooned;
Homegrown's alright with me
Homegrown is the way it should be
Homegrown is a good thing
Plant that bell and let it ring

Okay, the Packers’ using all homegrown O-linemen is WAY better than the resurgence of mom jeans. Anything is better than the resurgence of mom jeans. Anything.

On another note, I see that writers think Quay Walker played maybe his best game as a Packer last week. Please football gods don’t let that be an anomaly.

Told you they are terrible humans. That’s what happens when your team chokes away a bunch of SB games.

Kid needed to come back after the game and say…

“Go Home niners!!”
