Geno Smith (98-69, TD-INT, 87.3 rate) is having the career revival Jameis Winston (154-108, TD-INT, 86.9 rate) can only dream of.

Not me. I've never had consecutive winning game day threads. Packers need to go on a roll.

Edit: Packers haven't won at Seattle since October 12, 2008. I went back and found the Game Day Thread. https://packerrats.com/showthread.php?14485-Official-Packers-VS-Seahawks-game-thread-(Oct-12th) If anybody knows how to contact GrnBay007, her team is calling.

Is this the first game with no Pete Carroll as HC? Will kinda miss hating his stupid face.

Is it Bretsky time? He really hasn’t done much since signing his big contract.

Seahawks are having a solid year. All I really know about them is that Tank still has a boner for DJ Metcalf, and Metcalf seems to be aging better than Drew Barrymore.

I am just really disappointed with the Packer defensive line. First-round picks abound (Clark, Wyatt, Gary, Van Mess), yet they cannot get pressure without blitzing, period. Apparently you need a monster ala Maxx Crosby or Aidan Hutchinson or Nick Bosa to make that San Fran type of defense work. Do the Packers fire the D-line coach or is Guter making poor choices or what is it, anyway? FOUR first round picks on your front four, and you're playing like a bunch of Gilligans.

The offense's first half efforts have also been disappointing.

I'm not too excited about this Packer team, as you can see here. They've got four games to get on a roll and play like a team on a mission. We'll see.

It’s been a weird few games. Feel very efficient but not clicking or dominant on offense. Hard to see us beating Vikings 2x and the Lions.

I went on a 5 game thread roll in 2022 to end the season to that loss at home vs Lions to miss the playoffs.

Seahawks made some in-season trades and are on a roll. Seattle's a tough place to play. This is not an easy game, I'm surprised GB is favored.
I don't feel optimistic about it for some reason.

GB doesn't really have much for quality wins this year - Houston maybe? It's time for them to get into playoff mode, not coast along. The difference between the 6th seed and 7th seed in the playoffs will matter, and WAS is a game back.

JSN and their running game are Seattle's biggest threats on offense. I think their D is improved from earlier in the year, overall is ok. Their corners are good. Lean into the run game with Jacobs?

Agreed. This will be a grinder. Seahawks seem like a team that can win or lose to any team. Their offense doesn’t worry me but the defense is fast and good against the run. Isn’t their pass D suspect? Gonna take Love making those big and risky throws we have been missing the last few weeks.

And

Jaire Alexander, receiver Romeo Doubs, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, safety Evan Williams and cornerback Corey Ballentine all practiced today

Good on Doubs. The report recently was he wasn’t cleared. Concerning that it was a few weeks.

Jaire needs to go. He's too small to be a durable corner in the NFL. Way too high priced for the number of games the Packers are getting out of him.

Agreed. All flash for the cash! 14 games played this and last season says it all.

Yep, send him packing. I don't even care if they don't/can't trade him, I don't want to see him on the roster next year.

The question is whether they want to have 18 million of dead money next year while he plays for another team, or hope his health improves. Tough call.

His base salary goes up to 16M next year. They were always going to cut or restructure after this year, and his injuries mean cut is the only option. Nobody wants to trade for him at that price.

In 2025 a post June 1 cut would net a 17.5 million cap savings. Dead cap would only be about a little over 7.8 million

I do not expect the defense to win this game.
It all comes down to the offense again, same as last week.
JLo has to complete more than 13 passes and we need to avoid turnovers.

The Pack lost the North last week in Detroit. It’s all about wildcard readiness right now. Sure, Ja is a China doll and occasional head case. But if he hits the playoffs and shuts down the likes of Jefferson, Smith-Njigba, St. Brown, AJ Brown, etc — I will forgive his fragility. Maybe he’ll take a pay cut next year (although the price of a good CB isn’t going to be any cheaper these days).
We already need another new starting caliber CB. It won’t be easy or cheap to find two.
