Love shit the bed.
The D balled out all day.
Special teams shit the bed.
Too many injuries and losing Jenkins early crippled us against a very talented D front.

The GB Packers have a problem at QB. The Love that showed up last year is gone. The one that played today is not starting caliber.
QB has to elevate the players around him or he is overpaid dead weight.
What to do ???

Nobody should be surprised here. Phily, top down, was just better than Green Bay.
They have two WR's who are better than any WR on our roster
Their RB's, OL, DL, CB's, and LB's are better. Other than blind faith, why would we think we would go on the road and win ?
We had to win the turnover battle to have any shot. And that assumes Love doesn't shit the bed. THey are just better.
Gutebag brough in two Free Agent Studs this year. But his recent first round draft picks have been shit, our WR's underperformed, and our QB didn't play nearly to his contract.
I'm cautiously optimistic; but not for these playoffs.
We need to draft a WR in round 1, and then as we always do stack defense the rest of the draft (led by multiple CB's) and hope something sticks with all the darts we are throwing.
We lost the last game to one of the worst teams in the NFL and limped into the playoffs. We were not playing good ball. Phily just sent us where we belong

How bad is Luke Musgrave that, after losing three WR's, he still couldn't get on the field?

Musgrave is absolute junk; TG we drafted Kraft after that wasted pick

Even Jeff Gillooly would have been hard-pressed to take out as many starters as Philly did today.

Love should watch Baker Mayfield tape. That's how you play inspired football. If Love is going to puss out he should just retire.

Love didn’t play well, but he didn’t get a lot of help.
The O line was miserable today.
Our WR group may be the worst in the playoffs. They are near the bottom in our own division.

Love has issues…I’m not seeing him as anything close to being the largest issue on this offense. OL and WR don’t have many players you’d look at and say “there is a guy who will be a great starter for the next 4 years. On the youngest roster in the league, that is a problem.
We need to do way more than just draft one WR in this draft. The defense right now seems to be in shockingly better shape than the offense…something I did not think would be the case just 2-3 months ago.

There are MULTIPLE teams who have 2 wide receivers better than any WR on our roster. That is a problem. You could argue every team in our division would fit my statement.
Without even mentally going from team to team, you could maybe add the Bengals, Jets, Rams (if you believe in Kopp) and Texans into that group as well. Any others ???
That would bring the number up to 7

We totally fizzled out to end this season. That poor play continued right into this game when we fumbled the first play and were down 7 points 2 minutes in. All year we never really put together a complete game. Love really disappointed, but he is throwing to nobodies.

Love is one of the biggest issues on this team. He was paid too early and now they are stuck with him. He makes piss poor decisions either bad throws or choosing not to run. He is not a good qb. He would probably be good enough on a team with a excellent defense. That is not this team presently.

Not sure Love would fare better on a team with a great defense. He has a habit of trying to force the throw. Has very poor vision, and his accuracy is pitiful at times, at least for somebody paid like he is.

Love didn’t play well, but a day later, I realize it is difficult to play with a poor WR group and an underperforming O line
No doubt he has to get better.
However, we’re not going to get to the next level until he has some better players around him.

Typically, post season losses are depressing as hell. This loss, however, ain’t, cos, the mind’s already yielded to a loss pre-game.
Then again, I called in last night and am in the Milwaukee casino right now with a 9PM shift tonight.

Seemed like a dark cloud was hanging over the Packers the whole game. Even when they closed to 16-10 I didn't get excited thinking they were going to win it. Maybe I just need to get outside more...it's 0 degrees outside. Forget that.

Arguably, there is a much different and better result if not for the bad call on the opening kick off fumble. I'd like to see them just not bother returning any kick offs - just take it at the 30.

Eagles weren't kicking it into the end zone. They were making the Packers return it.

I turned off all football for a couple days and all I can really muster up to say about the game is this:
Josh Jacobs Jingleheimer Schmidt tried - and almost succeeded - to singlehandedly will the entire team to the next playoff game.

Every game they've lost this year has been because of self-inflicted wounds. This was no different. The injuries didn't help.
They didn't bring their A game and you must do that as a road playoff team.
The opening fumble (which Nixon recovered, but whatever) and Losing Jenkins were big. Putting Glover/Telfort in hurt their pass protection (along with the penalties) and it snowballed from there.
They've been a bit stuck offensively as of late, I think defenses realized they could have success playing more man coverage.
Defense played ok all things considered, but that pass rush desperately needs help.
Malik Heath had a terrible game. Oof.
Josh Jacobs is a man.

Criticisms of X aside, let me make absolutely clear that I 1) DO NOT advocate a migration from PR to X. In fact, I generally prefer the blog format for football sports, etc. discussion, so suggest the exact opposite direction of migration for like-minded folks. 2) X is populated with many, if not all, football beat reporters who post both free and paid content, and many knowledgeable players, former players, fans, etc. so it is a good source for info. 3) My main point is that a presence there could be used to direct people to PR, specifically those who like a longer, ostensibly friendlier format. Using an imperfect analogy, ignoring X as a source of 'advertising' is much like businesses at the turn of the millennium sticking to newspapers because 'they always worked and will continue to work.' Traffic patterns change. 4) But who asked me. Later, dudes.

The NFL fined Eagles LB Oren Burks $8,333 for unnecessary roughness (use of helmet) — his hit on Packer KR Keisean Nixon that caused a fumble on the opening kickoff last week. No flag was thrown.

Nope, Packers would have retained the ball. The ball had not been fumbled or recovered by PHI when the penalty occurred.

On Wilde and Tausch they brought in Dean Blandino who's the ref they often ask in the NFL Broadcasts.
He confirmed that was an illegal hit.
He basically said the fumble, that was not going to get overturned
