Crazy for me to say this, but he might be my all time favorite Packer. Such a dominant receiver, next to Jerry Rice he might have been the best. It was a sad day when he had to retire. I couldn't imagine what the 1990s offense would have looked like if he was able to play through his prime with Favre and Holmgren's play calling.

If Sterling had just been able to play until 1996 and been part of the Super Bowl team, I think he would have been in the HOF a long time ago.

I was at the game where Sterling caught a pass and dropped it just short of the end zone on a snowy field in Milwaukee. :-D

The Freeman pass is what I am referring to. That drive stays alive then the defense probably doesn’t matter.

Maybe it was the trauma suffered and the refusal to go back and even watch highlights of that game, but I don't remember shit besides Denver running fucking wide zone all over the Packers defense. Defensive line was completely gassed and had simply no answers for it. Exposed our average linebackers.

It was only a TD difference. Davis just ran like there was no one in front of him but at the end, the Packers still had a chance and the Freeman drop is where it ended.
