From JS article

Odds and ends: In a switch, defensive tackle Colin Cole might be inactive and Kenderick Allen might be active Sunday. "As far as what the coaches are saying, I don't know if I'm going to be playing," Cole said. . . .

I haven't heard much of him this year and noticed this piece of info. Cole makes a nice bottom two DL on the team; but IMO he's not solid starter material.

I think you've been correct on this all along B. Cole just hasn't looked good. Acctually, he's looked like shit.

I don't even think he makes a good bottom 2 because like CC would say "He's got no past and no future" He's a nobody in the NFL.

I would suspect we cut ties with him next season. I like Jenkins as a pass rush specialist but I do think that one of the pieces we need most is a stud 3 technique DT. Shawn Rodgers would be the difference between a top 15 defense and a top 7 defense in GB and 7 or 8 wins.

I would love if a stud DT was either pick 1 or pick 2 but you can only take what is there and those guys are rare.

Agreed. Cole was playing well as a run stopper last year, but he seems to have been brushed aside on McAllister's TD run last week, and has not stepped up. What is needed is a big, strong, fast DT - but as you said, they are not a dime a dozen.

Yeah, I noticed that play, too.

This is disappointing. I had Cole in the group of young guys on the rise. Why wouldn't he improve on last year's start? You wouldn't think DT's fall into a slump, but he's been a non-factor this season.

I think we are in a shit year if this kinda thing is gonna happen to us.

Donnell Washington is big, strong, fast. And probably available in your price range.
