In honor of your 4K posts, I thought I'd give you a little something. In yesterday's press conference, Coach Mac had this to say:

"I'm very happy with both the punter and the kicker."
and on to paraphrasing
Both earned their positions by playing well in training camp.
John Ryan is very strong legged and playing here in the cold, I think it's very important for anyone throwing or kicking the ball to have a lot of strength. Leg strength is a definite plus.

Sounds like a certain Mr. Ryan has the backing of his coach and will be around a long time.

I got Woody something a little more practical, a nice warm cap for the upcoming winter. Well, guess it's already winter up there, so none too soon.

Happy 4-oh-oh-oh

I got him a ball warmer. With the two in combination, he should be all set for the coming winter out there in the Yukon.

I just thought since Ryan's his second favorite player...I don't have the money to be affording fancy stuff like that there hat.

Thank You so much MJ.

I certainly was excited for Jon Ryan and his family (being Packer fans), that Jon had a tryout with us and to this point is doing well.

I never doubted that he would beat out BJ Sander if given a real shot.

Now he has to stay focused to reach his full potential. There are seldom any gurantees in life. I only attempted to assure Packer fans here, that Jon Ryan is a talented athlete fr. my knowledge of his strength at College and his outstanding punting in the CFL. For a man as young as he, to set the ALL Time punting record in the CFL, and so soon after being drafted by "the Winnepeg Blue Bombers ' was/is impressive.

MJ. He's not my second favourite Packer though.

Here's MY Second Fav Packer player MJZiggy - Donald "the Man " Driver.

http://img289.imageshack.us/img289/2418/laxsig99oc.jpg

I've been a huge Donald Driver supporter since we drafted him. He came to us with amazin' athletic ability. as well, his background was intriguing.

I advised all my Packer fan Bud's back in Saint John, NB to watch for this young Packer. He's more than fulfilled my faith in him.

Thanks Again. MJ That's cool.

I have been re-decorating the kitchen this weekend ( painting and changing the counter top ) so I havn't posted since Friday.

It's rare... since I was away fr, "PACKERRATS (for about 2 months Apr-June) that I miss a day enjoying OUR Packer Home.

Wow ! "the Jets" are taking down "the Colts" so far.

It's now 21 - 17 with 6:15 to go in the 4th quarter.

One PACKERRAT has "the Jets ove the Colts" in Pro Football Pick' em "....

Wondering if Green Bud is biting his nails?

CB/KR Justin Miller... just set a Jets Record with a 103 Yard KO return...the longest in their history ....WOW !!

Green Bud ! X 10

It's now with 1:26 to play ... Jets 28 - Colts 24 (Colts have no time outs remaining !!)...

I didn't count, but there were at least 6. And two of them weren't just laterals, but bombs to the other end of the field. I can't be sure, but I think at one point Pennington had it back, and then launched it to Coles on the other end of the field.

I would have loved to seen coles take it in.

As a side note, look at all the crappy teams really benefitting from great coaching this year. The saints, the jets, etc. I would love to see McCarthy coach a great game Monday night and beat the eagles, that would turn everything upside down. Its still early in the season.

Yea! That was just wild !

I was never so excited about watching any play...it was something else.

I hope someone gets that on UTube and otherwise records it for posterity falco as every football fan needs to see it.

Do you recall ... it was a Bills playoff game back around 2001 against ???... ( Ravens? Titans?) and " long time Bills Bills kicker...Christie (I think), he's a Canadian, as I recall " ...

screams a KO down the field ( insted of just squibbing it )..and the opponent ??... gets the ball on the right side of the field... and lateral pass's it... way over to his left and by smokies.... that fella ran the ball all the way for '6' or otherwiseset up the Game winning score in the dying seconds of that game.

That game had a wild finish...with consequences against "the Bills". They were a LOCK to win that game...

and phoooofffff !

I have to dig that one up. It'll come through the gray matter eventually.

If you recall it falco? They replayed that lateral pass... over and over to determine if it was a legit lateral or a forward pass.

I've never been sure to this day, if "the Bills" didn't get burnt on the Officials call?

Yup, same ol' same ol'. You've been doing that since before PR, we both know that.

You wouldn't know a fair debate if it bit you in the antlers.

One thing I've come to learn in my years as a leader is this: Any man that needs to continuously toot his own horn is not what he would have you believe he is.

When you learn to make a point without resorting to caps, bold and large font, you might be an interesting challenge for a debate (it would certainly make any post more reader friendly).

Until then, enjoy your cyber good guy self and finally take the advice I have always given you: Just ignore me.

Alot more important than "the small stuff".

Thank you ALL...

for trying YOUR BEST to make PACKERRATS a Packer HOME. A place we come to, to discuss OUR beloved Team.

We are not always going to agree on moves/issues. Isn't that what a Forum is about. A place to plant OUR ideas and air things out.

Sometimes we must resort to agreeing to disagree.

I want to thank the members that put kind thoughts on this thread that made me really proud to be a member of this forum.

I was moved. Thank YOU ALL .

I try to make your experience on PACKERRATS more enjoyable.

GO PACKERS ! A tough test this evening - Faith.
