I would love a victory but our defense hasn't played well enough to predict a victory against a top offensive team. But I will hope and cheer for a victory anyway!

Dear 007 :
Why not?
Most folks only see a change in fortunes AFTER that change becomes manifest.
Personally, I like the direction the Packers are taking.
The young offensive line, the development of Hawk, the apparently for-real wide receiver, the smarter play of Favre......
Why COULDN'T the defense take the next step by finally putting it all together on a national stage?
Why CAN'T the entire team - now with fresh blood - jell with a great effort in a situation every one, esp. the Eagles - thinks is a gimmee?

I prefer to think positive - and it's nice to have you there, too!

.....and this very young team, including the very young at heart Favre, is on a high from their first win of the season.....they should be pumped and ready to go. Philly very well could be overlooking them for the Dallas game next week.

I'll fall out of my chair if the Packers hang with them late into the game, that would be exciting.

Sorry for the morbid prediction but the Eagles' defense is too tough and their offensive scoring talent too great for the Packers.

I think it will be high scoring and surprisingly close, and deep down I think the Iggles probably would win this matchup two out of three times, but what the hell:

I'll say Pack 37, Iggles 34.

Remember ... there is no penalty for an incorrect answer!

I'm expecting this season to be one of fantastic wins and fantastic defeats. I love the fantastic win predictions posted here, but I'll predict --

Philadelphia 30
Green Bay 20

My biggest concern about this game is the effectiveness Detroit had last week with Jones and Bryson on screens and flat passes. This is Westbrook's greatest strength. Could get ugly.

Also, the Poppinga and LJ Smith matchup? Ugh!

Still, certainly a winnable game for the Pack. Favre and the receivers match up pretty well against the Philly pass defense. Here's hoping for 2-2.

Eagles 30

If they've punched it in at the end, this would be a spot on prediction if I do say so myself.

We'll still go 9-7 - especially w/ AZ and MIA looking weaker than expected (and winning vs. the Lions to even the loss to the Aints).

I hope Brett is alright. We're a young team and have some potential - the running game seemed energized tonight. The 2ndry is still the biggest hole and is very obvious to pro and fan alike what needs to be done.
