I thought he played the last 2 games of the year. I think he was claimed off waivers.

I think we are offically at the stage of the Jimmy Johnson Cowboys rebuilding year 1 and 2.

During that period, he would cut players (most of them leftovers) almost each week as he rebuilt the bottom of the roster. Weekly street FAs brought in to tryout. The transaction lines in the paper looked like a passenger manifest for an airline.

Ahmad Carrol will be rememebered as the cut when rebuilding became undeniable. There are not better players behind him yet, but they are simply not going to waste the time on marginal starting material.

Maybe Carrol gets a wakeup from the cut, an opportunity like Favre did. I wish him well. But I am also glad we are full speed rebuilding.

You got it.

We are rebuilding. Let's do it.

I NEVER understood the whole "reluctance to admit rebuilding" deal.

What, we were gonna build from 4 & 12?

The rebuilding coaching speech is the easiest one in the world...

"Men, we are re-building. Each player now has to decide whether he is gonna be part of the "re-" or the "build".

There are planes, trains & busses leaving town every day. Play your ass off, or you are gonna be on one.

That is all".

We now have 3 teams,

one leaving
one on the field
one arriving.

Let's see how they all do!

If we are truly rebuilding, there's one player who's status I don't understand:
Koren Robinson

Certainly they can't think he fits into the long term plans? It's pretty certain that he'll be going on a year long holiday soon. The only reason I can think is that there are no players behind him.

Blackmon returns punts

? plays 3 or 4 WR.

The situation you describe is why I can't figure out why we signed an FA LB today.

We need a DB & a WR don't we?

KY; both Hodge and Taylor were hurt on Monday. Tracy White was released last week. Right now they have no healthy backup at LB. Having a linebacker on the practice squad is a good move. Have him ready in a week or two incase of another injury, or taylor or Hodge being more serious than thought.

They don't need a DB. They have 4 corners and 4 safeties on the active roster, and also Dendy and Bigby on PS.

They have fall backs at WR with Francies and Russel on PS. They also have a TE, Alcorn.

With the injuries, they need a LB.

You got it.

Didn't realize that both Hodge & Taylor got hurt.

That makes sense, but man, we are mylar thin right now.

Thompson must get better at filling out the WHOLE roster.

it's KIDS,KIDS, KIDS with this guy.
