Some of these stats are suprising.....

Sunday - Early games

BROWNS (1-3) at PANTHERS (2-2)

The Panthers have won the first two meetings in the series, the last coming in 2002.
Cleveland looks to win consecutive games in the same season for the first time since October 2003. The Browns also look to win road games in consecutive weeks for the first time since November 2002.
The Browns converted 53% (8-15) of its third downs last week, snapping a streak of 28 consecutive games with a third down conversion rate under 50%.
Cleveland RB Reuben Droughns rushed for 100 yards last week after being held under 100 yards in the previous eight games. Droughns rushed for a career-high 193 yards in his only career game vs. the Panthers in 2004.
Browns' rookie DE Kamerion Wimbley has two sacks and seven quarterback hurries in the past two games.
Each of Carolina's last three games has been decided by three points or fewer. Overall, nine of the Panthers' last 18 games have been decided by four points or fewer.
Seven of the Panthers' last 12 games vs. the AFC have been decided by four points or fewer.
Carolina is 9-0 when DeShaun Foster rushes for 70+ yards in a game and 12-2 when he carries the ball more than 15 times.
Panthers' WR Steve Smith has eight touchdowns in his last nine games vs. the AFC (including playoffs).


BILLS (2-2) at BEARS (4-0)

The home team has won eight of the nine all-time meetings, including the last six meetings. The Bears have won all four meetings in Chicago by a combined score of 95-32.
Buffalo Head Coach Dick Jauron returns to Chicago, where he was the head coach from 1999-2003. The Bears were 35-45 in those five seasons, but did make the playoffs in 2001.
The Bills have increased their time of possession total in each game this season.
Buffalo's Willis McGahee has seven rushing touchdowns in four career road games vs. the NFC.
Bills' LB Angelo Crowell leads the team with 35 total tackles and two interceptions.
The Bears defense has allowed just 29 points during their 4-0 start. It is their fewest points allowed through their first four games since the 1937 squad allowed just 11 points.
Chicago is 1-6 and has scored 10 or fewer points in each of its last seven games vs. AFC opponents.
All three of Bernard Berrian's touchdown receptions this season has gone for 40+ yards. The Bears had just one 40+ yard touchdown reception in the previous two seasons, and it was Berrian who caught it (49 in 2004).
Bears' RB Thomas Jones rushed for a season-high 98 yards last week. Jones rushed for 100+ yards in three of his four games vs. AFC opponents last season.

RAMS (3-1) at PACKERS (1-3)

The Packers have won nine of the last 11 home meetings vs. the Rams. In the last meeting in 2004, the Packers won 45-17, as they rushed for 231 yards.
The Rams have been the league's worst team in terms of turnovers over the past several seasons, but have a +10 (13/3) turnover differential in its first four games.
St. Louis has lost 11 of its last 15 road games, including nine of 11 played outdoors.
Rams' WR Isaac Bruce has 18 receptions for 299 yards and a touchdown in his last two games vs. the Packers.
St. Louis RB Steven Jackson has recorded 120+ scrimmage yards in each of the first four games this season.
The Packers have lost eight of their last 11 home games and look to avoid starting 0-3 at home for the second time in the past three seasons.
Green Bay has been outscored 63-16 in the second and third quarters this season,
Since joining the Packers in 1992, QB Brett Favre is 42-0 at home when throwing no interceptions (46-0 including playoffs).
Green Bay WR Donald Driver needs just 47 receiving yards to become the ninth player in team history to amass 5,000 yards. Driver also has 96+ receiving yards in each of his last four home games.


TITANS (0-4) at COLTS (4-0)

The Colts have won the last six meetings in the series, winning by an average score of 35-15. The Colts have won the last three meetings in Indianapolis by a combined score of 119-34.
Once a dominating run team, Tennessee has been out rushed 708-281in its first four games this season.
The Titans have allowed an average of 35.4 points in their last five road games vs. division opponents.
Two of Chris Brown's six career 100-yard games came against the Colts, including a career-high 152-yard game in 2004.
Tennessee QB Vince Young has completed just 45.3% of his passes in his first three games, while rushing the ball just 10 times for 27 yards.
The Colts had 36 carries in last week's win over the Jets. They are 44-2 the last 46 times they have at least 35 carries in a game.
Indy has won 11 consecutive games vs. division opponents, and is 12-1 in its last 13 home games vs. division opponents.
Colts' QB Peyton Manning has a 135.8 rating in his last four games vs. the Titans, while completing 74.5% of his passes with 12 touchdowns.
Indianapolis WR Reggie Wayne has a touchdown catch in each of his last four games vs. the Titans.


LIONS (0-4) at VIKINGS (2-2)

This will be the 90th meeting between these teams. Minnesota has won the last eight meetings, as well as the last eight home games vs. the Lions. Eleven of the last 14 meetings have been decided by seven points or fewer.
The Lions have increased their scoring output in each of the last three games. Detroit scored 34 points last week, after scoring just 37 points in the first three games.
Detroit has lost 18 of its last 19 road games vs. division opponents.
The Lions have no interceptions in their first four games this season. They have not gone five straight games without a pick since at least 1970.
Lions' WR Roy Williams is averaging 96.0 yards per game this season, which is on pace for the second best season in team history (Herman Moore 105.4 in 1995).
Minnesota has not scored a touchdown in the first three quarters in each of its last three games.
The Vikings look to avoid losing consecutive home games vs. division opponents for the first time since 1997.
Minnesota QB Brad Johnson has won his last five starts vs. the Lions. Johnson had a 127.3 rating in his two starts vs. the Lions last season.
Vikings' WR Marcus Robinson has two touchdowns this season, and has six touchdowns in six career home games vs. the Lions.


DOLPHINS (1-3) at PATRIOTS (3-1)

The teams split the two meetings last season, with the road team winning both contests. The Patriots have won five of the last seven meetings overall.
Talk about consistency, the Dolphins have recorded between 278-and-289 yards of offense in each of their first four games.
Miami has lost 10 of its last 13 road games vs. division opponents, recording a minus-18 turnover differential in the 10 losses.
Dolphins' QB Daunte Culpepper has lost 25 of his last 29 starts played outdoors. But Daunte's first ever road start was a win in New England in 2000.
Six of Miami WR Chris Chambers' last 12 touchdown receptions have come in the fourth quarter.
New England rushed for 236 yards last week, its most in a game since 1993. The Pats are 37-2 under Bill Belichick when rushing for at least 125 yards in a game (including playoffs).
The Patriots have won 14 of their last 16 home games vs. division opponents.
Patriots' RB Corey Dillon has rushed for 110, 94 and 121 yards in three complete games played vs. the Dolphins (started but did not record a carry in the 11/13/05 game vs. the Dolphins).
New England QB Tom Brady has a 65.2 rating in his last five starts vs. the Dolphins. Brady needs three touchdown passes to tie Babe Parilli (132) for third on the team's all-time list.


BUCS (0-3) at SAINTS (3-1)

The Bucs have won four of the last five meetings, including the last three road games in the series. Tampa won both meetings last season, recording a plus-seven turnover differential in those contests.
The Bucs are 0-3 and will now have to start rookie QB Bruce Gradkowski this week. Starter Chris Simms had his spleen removed following the team's Week 3 loss to Carolina, and will be sidelined indefinitely.
Tampa Bay is dead last in the NFL in rushing, averaging just 43.3 rush yards per game and 2.4 yards per carry. The Bucs were second in the NFL in rushing through their first three games last season.
Buccaneers' WR Joey Galloway has four touchdown receptions in his last three games vs. the Saints.
Bruce Gradkowski will become the seventh rookie draft pick to start at quarterback for the Bucs (with Parnell Dickinson, Randy Hedberg, Doug Williams, Vinny Testaverde, Trent Dilfer and Shaun King).
The Saints defeated the Falcons at home two weeks ago and can win consecutive home games vs. division opponents for the first time since the 2000 season (3 straight).
New Orleans has outscored its opponents 45-7 in the second and third quarters this season, including 29-0 in the second.
Saints' QB Drew Brees has a 92.8 rating in his first four games with the Saints. The team record for a single season is 88.8 by Aaron Brooks in 2003.
New Orleans RB Deuce McAllister has averaged 96.3 rushing yards in his six career starts vs. the Bucs. Deuce is the only player since 2002 to have three 100-yard rushing games vs. the Buccaneers.


REDSKINS (2-2) at GIANTS (1-2)

The teams have split the season series in five of the last six seasons, including last season. The last three meetings have not been close, with the winning team scoring at least 15 more points than the loser (WSH 31-7, NYG 36-0, WSH 35-20).
The Redskins have scored 30+ points and recorded 475+ yards in consecutive games for the first time since 1981 (Joe Gibbs' first season in Washington).
Washington has allowed its opponents to score first in each of its first four games.
Redskins RB Clinton Portis had just nine yards rushing in his last game at Giants Stadium, which was the lowest total in a start in his career. Portis has 15 rushing touchdowns in his last 14 games, including at least one in five straight games.
Washington WR Santana Moss had three touchdown receptions, including the game-winner in last week's win over the Jaguars. His two previous three-touchdown games both came against the Giants.
New York is just 3-14 all-time after a bye week, including five straight losses.
In their last two games, the Giants have been outscored 66-10 in the first three quarters, while outscoring their opponents 50-0 in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Giants' RB Tiki Barber rushed for a then career-high 206 yards in his last home game vs. the Redskins (rushed for 220 yards vs. the Chiefs seven weeks later). He had rushes two rushes of 50+ yards in the contest (57 and 59).
New York DE Michael Strahan has gone six consecutive games without a sack, which is his longest since a seven-game streak in 1996. Strahan is still just three sacks behind Lawrence Taylor (132.5) for the Giants all-time record.






Sunday - Late games

CHIEFS (1-2) at CARDINALS (1-3)

The Chiefs lead the all-time series, 6-2-1, including a 49-0 shutout in the last meeting in 2002.
Kansas City is coming off a 41-0 shutout over the 49ers. The Chiefs had no turnovers and no sacks allowed, after recording five turnovers with eight sacks allowed in the first two games this season.
The Chiefs have lost 13 of their last 15 road games vs. NFC opponents, including five in a row. They have allowed at least 27 points in each of their last seven road games vs. the NFC.
Chiefs' QB Damon Huard is 6-2 in his career as a starter. Huard currently has the second highest QB rating (106.9) in the NFL (behind David Carr).
Kansas City's Tony Gonzalez needs 24 receiving yards to pass Ozzie Newsome for second place on the league's all-time yardage list among tight ends. Gonzalez still needs one TD catch to break Otis Taylor's team record of 57.
The Cardinals are just 5-15 at home vs. AFC opponents since the start of the 1996 season.
The addition of Edgerrin James has yet to help the Cardinals running game. They are averaging just 70.3 rush yards per game, which is their lowest average through four games since 1970.
Arizona RB Edgerrin James has yet to break the 100-yard mark this season, but has rushed for 100+ yards in four of his five career games vs. the Chiefs (including post-season).
The Matt Leinart era begins in Arizona. The former Heisman Trophy winner was 37-2 as a starter for USC, throwing a Pac-10 record 99 touchdown passes.

JETS (2-2) at JAGUARS (2-2)

The Jaguars won last season's meeting, 26-20 in overtime, and lead the all-time series 4-2. In last season's games, Byron Leftwich hit Jimmy Smith for a 36-yard touchdown pass in overtime for the victory.
New York's two losses this season have been close battles with the first place Patriots and Colts. All four games this season have been decided by eight points or fewer.
The Jets have won their first two road games and look to start 3-0 on the road for the first time since 2001.
Jets' TE Chris Baker has four touchdown receptions in his last seven road games, including one in each of the first two road games this season.
New York RB Kevan Barlow has four touchdowns this season totaling just 10 yards (1,3,1,5).
Jacksonville has lost its last two games after a 2-0 start. Luckily, seven of its next eight games are against teams with a record of .500 or worse.
The Jaguars look to start 3-0 at home for the first time since 1998 (6-0 start at home).
Jacksonville RB Fred Taylor has averaged 30 carries and 151 scrimmage yards (120 rushing) in three career games vs. the Jets.
Jags' RB Maurice Jones-Drew has 191 scrimmage yards with two receiving touchdowns on just 23 touches in the last two games.


RAIDERS (0-3) at 49ERS (1-3)

Each of the last two meetings has gone into overtime, with the 49ers winning the last meeting in 2002. The Raiders are 4-1 all-time in games played across the bay in San Francisco.
Oakland has now lost nine in a row. The Raiders have been outscored 118-34 in the second halves of those contests.
The Raiders have lost 22 of their last 26 road games, including four straight. They have scored 10 or fewer points in each of those last four losses.
Raider punter Shane Lechler has averaged 48.7 yards per punt this season. No punter has finished a season with an average that high since 1963 (Detroit's Yale Lary, 48.4).
Oakland WR Randy Moss has 15 touchdown receptions in 14 career October road games, and needs one more touchdown reception to reach 100 for his career. Moss had eight catches for 172 yards and three touchdowns in his last game vs. the 49ers.
San Francisco offensive coordinator Norv Turner faces his former team for the first time since he was fired this past off-season. Turner was 9-23 in two seasons with the Raiders.
The 49ers were shutout last week for just the second time in the past 454 games.
San Francisco has no interceptions in four straight games for the first time since 1992. They haven't gone five straight games without a pick since a 10-game streak in 1976-77.
Niners' TE Eric Johnson has 61 receptions in his last nine starts at home. Johnson has averaged 4.3 receptions per game at Monster Park, which trails only Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens and Dwight Clark among 49ers pass catchers.


COWBOYS (2-1) at EAGLES (3-1)

The Cowboys won both meetings last season, recording their first sweep in the series since 1998. The Cowboys look to record consecutive wins in Philadelphia for the first time since 1993-94.
This game marks the return of Terrell Owens to Philadelphia. T.O. was with the Eagles from 2004-05, helping lead them to the Super Bowl, before being suspended and released last season. Owens had 143 yards and two touchdowns in his first game vs. his first team, the 49ers, and has three touchdowns in his last three games vs. the Eagles.
The Cowboys scored 45 points last week in Tennessee, their highest point total on the road since 1971 (49 on 9/19/71 at Buffalo).
Dallas has lost 17 of its last 23 divisional road games, but has won its first divisional road game in each of the last three seasons.
Dallas WR Terry Glenn has six touchdowns in his last seven games vs. NFC East opponents, including three in two games vs. the Eagles last season.
Philadelphia has the league's No. 1 offense after four weeks, including the No. 1 pass offense. The last time the Eagles had the NFL's No. 1 offense was 1961.
The Eagles have lost seven consecutive division games, their longest divisional losing skid 1998-99 (8 straight).
Philly QB Donovan McNabb has lost his last four starts vs. division opponents, but has 26 touchdown passes and just six interceptions in his last 13 games vs. NFC East foes.
Eagles' WR Donte' Stallworth has 113 and 114 receiving yards in two career games vs. the Cowboys, while averaging 28.4 yards per reception in those contests.


STEELERS (1-2) at CHARGERS (2-1)

This will be the 25th regular season meeting between the teams. Pittsburgh has won 19 of the first 24 meetings, including five in a row. Last season, Pittsburgh opened up a 14-0 lead, but had to have a Jeff Reed 40-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to win, 24-22.
The Steelers come out of the bye week looking to rebound from consecutive losses. Pittsburgh is 39-14 in October under Head Coach Bill Cowher, including 11-2 in their last 13 October road games.
Pittsburgh has more turnover (8) than penalties (6) in the first three games.
Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger has a perfect 7-0 record in October, including a 107.9 rating and a 70.3 completion percentage in those contests.
Pittsburgh RB Willie Parker is averaging 5.5 yards per carry on first down this season, but just 2.1 yards per carry on second, third and fourth downs.
San Diego is 11-13 all-time vs. defending Super Bowl champions, including wins in three of its last four chances. The 11 wins is tied for the most of any team in history (with Broncos and Rams).
The Chargers have won three of their last four "Prime Time" games, including a 27-0 victory on Monday Night in Week 1.
San Diego RB LaDainian Tomlinson has three touchdowns in two career games vs. the Steelers, as well as 41 total touchdowns in 40 career home games. He needs one touchdown to break Lance Alworth's team record (83).
Chargers' kicker Nate Kaeding is 22-for-23 on field goal attempts at home in his career, with the only miss being a 51-yard attempt vs. Tampa Bay (12/12/04).






Monday's game

RAVENS (4-0) at BRONCOS (2-1)

Denver won last season's meeting, 12-10, recording a plus-three turnover differential, including three second half takeaways. Baltimore won the only previous Monday Night meeting in 2002 (34-23).
Baltimore is 4-0 and has come from behind in the final minute to win in each of the last two weeks.
The Ravens are 4-2 all-time on Monday Night, with the two losses coming by a total of just four points.
Baltimore QB Steve McNair faces the Broncos for the first time in his career. They are the only team other than the Titans that McNair has yet to face.
Ravens' TE Todd Heap has eight touchdown receptions in the past 10 games, including one in each of the last three contests.
The Broncos come off the bye looking to win their third straight game. Denver is 13-4 all-time coming off a bye week, including three straight wins.
Denver has scored just 36 points in the first three games, its lowest output through three contests since 1971 (26).
Broncos' WR Rod Smith has 102 career receptions on Monday Nights, making him one of only six players in history to have 100+ receptions on Monday Night Football (with Jerry Rice, Andre Reed, Cris Carter, Tim Brown and Art Monk).
Denver kicker Jason Elam needs 10 points to pass Al Del Greco (1,584 points) for 10th place on the NFL's all-time scoring list.
