Odd timing. You'd think ESPN would be droolin' to keep a real live hall of famer. His selection should make it easy for him to pick up another gig. Unfortunately.

I wonder if the selection committee would like a chance to reconsider.

I'm betting you're wrong. They don't seem to do that stuff anymore. Art Shell was replaced by a college OC and they didn't say anything as far as I know.
