With the second pick in the 2007 NFL draft the Lions select Joe Thomas.

I think that there should be a consensus on the picks though, like the first person to rack up 5 votes for that pick is the one that goes to that team.

Kind of boring when a few people are doing all of the picks. You should slow down and let others pick too. You should get one volunteer for each team and do it that way.

Sorry, no trades allowed. It looks like we're "stuck" with Lynch. Shucks.

I agree. This is cool but I always like the drafts that where everyone gets a team

So the vikings didnt take too long and skip their turn?

They did, however Goodell took pity on their hopeless franchise and allowed them their pick.

Solid picks, I couldn't have done it better myself. I may have put Marcus McCauley in the place of Ross but I have a feeling that he's going to shoot up draft boards after the combine.

I agree. Be happy to be a part of this, but the team assignment should be random.

PackerPro42

My suggestion was to have a consensus pick. Instead of one guy selecting we can have people say their pick for that specific team and the first player to get five votes gets the nod. So to summarize, the first person to get five votes gets to go to that team.

Only problem with that is that is there are only 9 people that have posted picks in this thread, and I doubt that 5 people will agree on one pick, especially in the later rounds. Also, that would take a bit too long.

PackerPro42
02-24-2007, 07:55 PM
Alright, then who gets to do the random selection? If everyone just wanted to put their name saying that they want in, I'll put all the names in a hat and draw the random order.

ND72
02-24-2007, 07:57 PM
If you looked when I made selections, there is a good amount of time in between, cause I was assuming someone was going to do the next pick sometime after I did the pick. But over a long period, nobody wrote anything on here while I was posting....BUT, I like how we did it last year, we went pick by pick and did a poll on it, and then who ever won the poll after a day, was the pick....it takes a while, but we have like 60 days til the draft :D

BallHawk
02-24-2007, 08:02 PM
Why don't we just make a rule that you have to let 5 people do a pick before you can do another one? That seems the most easy and logical way to me.

PackerPro42
02-24-2007, 08:04 PM
That sounds alright, but not as fun as the random order one.

I think the poll would be more accurate, like he said, we have time. If Buffalo trades McGahee that might change their outlook on the draft, they might want Lynch.

PackerPro42

That McGahee story is chitter chatter just like the Randy Moss trade possibility.
