So yesterday I was trying to improve my bit-torrent speeds so I opened up a slew of additional ports on my router (not 6881-6999) . I came home around 1am, and realized that two of my computers must have been hacked. My MacBook and Ubuntu Linux box are now filled up with gay porn and they are foze to google.nl for a homepage rather than google.com. I cannot figure out how to make it go back to google.com.

I was on a porno site a few days ago, but this happened several days later, so I don't know that it is the usual porno spyware.

I cannot figure out how this would happen on a LINUX and a Free BSD box. That makes no sense to me!!

I can assume that you know how to get to your settings to change the homepage so I can't really help you out here. However, I did have a similar problem a while back, not do to porn but my little sister goes on a lot of unprotected sites. Do you by chance have a Yahoo toolbar?

no clue

can you get a ton of porn in your e-mail without giving away your e-mail at some point? i knew a guy who had a friend who used the guy i knows e-mail address on a porn site. and my buddy got a ton of porn clogging his mail box ever since then.

i get about 20 crap e-mails through yahoo everyday, but not porn related, mostly shitty stock tips. i have no clue where they came from

I get the same thing, Red. Yahoo is good for the most part, those e-mails are my only nuisance.

Nope, I use a mac or a dork machine and don't have any of that goofy shit on there. I fixed the problem by going to a specific google site that takes care of this.

I second Woodson's GMail sentiment. Best mail product out there.

have you also been having the problem lately where the spam has been going to you regular folder instead of the bulk one? not all of them, but maybe a few a week

yahoo is actually pretty good about filtering the crap too, they just send it all to one big bulk folder with all the other crap, but things slip through from time to time, and every once in a great while a good e-mail ends up in the bolk folder, so you always have to check it before you delete it all

Yeah, that'll happen. They sort using keywords that are common in spam to determine whether or not its a legit email. Every now and again one seeps through or a good one ends up in the spam.
