I've noticed they're clocking how fast the QB's can throw at the Combine and so far to this point the leader is...
Central Florida QB Toby Korrodi threw 63 mph at the NFL Combine Sunday, Feb. 25.
This got me wondering...has Favre ever been clocked? It'd be interesting to see how fast he could throw now and when he was in his prime. I'd say he could throw it faster than anyone in the league.
I think every now and then they've done a thing during a game "trying" to figure that out, and I remember them saying/clocking him that would compare to a 95mph fastball with a baseball.

Somewhere between 300 and 400 mph.

If I had to guess..I'd say it'd be somewhere in the 70's.

Those are the touch passes.

If my memory serves me correctly, the "pass speed" indicator in the Monday Night Football game against Carolina on 9/13/04 showed him throw a football at 72 mph. I also remember a reading of 66 mph on the Packers second Monday Night game of the year against Tennessee. I have also seen 74 mph quoted.

but all season long on MNF they've been telling us that Favre throws at about 68 MPH, and that that is the equivalent of throwing 96 MPH in baseball.

Somewhere between 300 and 400 mph.
When he looks at the ball it runs away faster than that.

And just imagine...Deanna used to play catch with him. So even if not top speed....ouch!

he probably throws 70mph rolling left, off his back foot with a trot backwards falling down, across the field.. cuz thats how i think ill always remember him whether the pass was a TD or an INT..

Brett Favre could eat a live Angus bull, gurgle his stomach for 2 minutes and fart a football faster than these posers throw it.

Cyclops (cough.....Brett Favre....cough) can whizz a football with his bionic eyes faster than these jokers throw it.

His fastest throw ever recorded was 81 mph roughly 6 years ago.
On average, when he lets it rip, it varies between 68-72 mph.
We he throws it deep down field, it's roughly 60 mph.
When he drops back, rolls out, and throws it back across the field it roughly drops to 57 mph.
When he trhows it while falling down it's around 55mph.
Whats sad is worst case scenario has it at 55mph. I mean christ, most qb's in the league today can't hit 55 every throw.
Yes, there are some people in the combine that can get lower 60's. Sure good for them. Put them in a game and tell me they can get that.
Hell, get me that 72 mph throw of favre.
Favre's fastest throw last year was roughly 70 mph. If he's lost juice I don't see it. 2 mph lower then normal? pfft. I'll take it.

Yeah, just look at Donald Driver's or Antonio Freemans hands. I don't think there is a healthy finger between the both of them.

He broke Antonio Freeman's arm with a throw.
Just about every Packer receiver has had a broken or dislocated finger(Favre Finger).
Jerry Glanville used to win bets with suprised people when Brett would throw the ball into the upper deck of the Georgia Dome.
15 or 20 years from now people will attend Fan Fest and be amazed at Donald Driver's distorted arthritic fingers and the difficulty he has in signing autographs.
The rookies at the combine were throwing 55-60 mph for speed and not accuracy. Brett in game action is throwing for accuracy.
It takes a lot more energy to throw the ball 75 mph than 55 mph

When Brett throws a ball and there's no one there to catch it, it just goes off into infinity.
