Looks like (unofficialy), Leon Hall, McCauley, Lanrdy, Houston, and Jonathan Wade have all ran in the 4.3s.

Piscatelli and the two Texas boys ran in the 4.4s

Merriweather 4.5

Weddle 4.51

Reggie Nelson 4.53

And so far, an Iowa boy (not originally), Paschal has ran the slowest time.

Having said that, there is probably no way Landry makes it to 16 with a 4.35 40.

Hall ran a 4.3? Holy speed coach training for the past two months. I heard they expected him to run 4.5-4.6

If that's Weddle's official time, I think that helps him. He's productive.

Is he expected to go in the third? He would be a great pick.

I read Hall at 4.35, but it got changed to 4.39.

Landry is officially a 4.35, which means he can run with Calvin J (at least in some other dudes shoes).

Add Eric Wright (USC/UNLV), Kenny Scott (GT), and Josh Wilson (Maryland) to the high 4.3s

Fastest
Houston 4.32, most presses too at 225 (27). Anyone want another Ark cb?

MacCauley 4.33 (un), 36" (official 4.39)

Jonathan Wade (Tenn) 4.35 (unofficial) , 40.5" (official and best)
Kenny Scott (GT) 4.37 (un), 40" (official), academic suspension in final game. Tied for worst bench at 10 (official).
John Wendling (Wyo?) 4.43 (un), 38.5" (official), 22 bench.

Hall went 10'5" in the broad jump which tied for the best and was better than Landry 10'3" and Houston 10'2"

Piscitelli at 4.44 is outstanding given his size 6'2" 225

Fred Bennett ran a 4.46 and showed an impressive knack for jumping both up and out.

McCauley is going to sky rocket 'cause of that time. He is very overrated, though.

Hall ran that fast?? That'll certainly stop the bleeding for him.

These times make me think safety in round 2-3. Guys like Weddle, Wendling, Piscitelli, Griffin, and Merriweather ran with the likes of Nelson. Granted it's only the 40, but another 2nd round pick would be nice.

Officials:

Nelson, Weddle, Wendling-4.48

Piscitelli, Merriweather-4.47

Griffin 4.45

Merriweather also showed that he is not as good an athlete as some other guys. He had the slowest time of all dbs in the three cone and 30-yard shuttle.

landry is just a freak

imagine him and collins back there. 2 big hard hitting enforcer type safeties that are the 2 fastest guys on the field at any time

but after today i don't think theres a chance in hell he'll be there at #16

Reserving the right to change my mind - as I haven't studied the draft yet...
my early favorite is Landry.

Although it seems most people have him gone by the time GB picks. Haven't looked at many of the other guys yet.

I have watched Piscatelli play safety for the Oregon State Beavers the past two seasons. He is an athletic and big safety(6'2", 220 lbs). He has good range and smarts.

He is worth taking as high as the 5th round, IMO.

I love the Wolverines but I would by no means draft Hall at 16. He is overrated!!! He must of had one hell of a speed coach. He could probably even get me back in the 4's, my best was 4.65 but a few years ago at the Packers experience, I ran the 40 in 5.4  I think a turtle actually passed me while I was running.

Alan Branch is the one I would never draft. Hall is pretty good. I think he's worthy of #16.

Every player on the UM D is overrated! Hall played well against the sisters of the poor but when the competition level was cranked up, he didn't do much at all. Woodley and Branch are overrated also imo.

Branch has huge bust potential. I wouldnt' take him in the 1st round.

That D let me down last season. I actually thought that a Lloyd Carr coached team could actually do something. Good thing he will be retiring at years end.

Didn't you love A Branch? Branch is awesome, i'd take him in a second if he somehow dropped to us. He will be an exquisite DT or an even better 3-4 DE. He is quick, long, and thick with a non-stop motor. Give me him any day ever ever ever.

He is just out of shape, probably doesn't care about the combine. Quite frankly, I don't know that I'd care about it too much either. They're all going to be richer than rich anyway and I think i'd rather take some time to myself rather than always working on something.

So what is Piscitelli? 4.44 or 4.7?

He's an interesting prospect. Good production in college too.

Also I wonder about David Irons (Kenny's brother). Probably projected 4th or 5th rounder? Good 40 speed (4.44) but a touch slow on the 20 yard shuttle and 3 cone drill.

Anyone seen him play?

I wrote his time wrong the second time. It was 4.47, not 4.7. I've also heard him at 4.44, but I think that got corrected. Either way he had a good showing.

I didn't see a three cone time for irons. His 20 and 60 shuttles were some of the slowest though.

On another note, Blackmon's broad jump beat everyone this year too.

It's interesting that 300 lb. Carriker was 7.06 (3 cone) and 4.18 (20 shuttle)

Meanwhile,

Merriweather bombed those with a 7.06 (3 cone) and 4.33 (20 shuttle)

Oh and everyone's favorite running back, Lynch, ran the following pedestrian times: 7.05 (3 cone) and 4.46 (20 shuttle)
(that's faster than 5 OL and 4 DL, that's it)
