Eric Moulds released!

Salary casualty?

Old ? Injury prone?

Doesn't seem all that long ago he was a top 5 - 8 receiver!

He's close to his mid-30s. He just got old.

didn't Houston just trade like a 2nd round pick on him last year? I know Moulds isn't a young buck anymore...but who else do they have?

Moulds played in every game for Houston last year, catching 57 passes for 557 yards, just a 9.8 average. Of course, Houston has had a bad offense, but Moulds' YPC has been going down every year. He can probably still play, but is not the type of big play guy the Packers would be looking for.

Wow, doesn't seem possible he's been around that long already!

The NFL Network reports the Indianapolis Colts will release WR Brandon Stokley.

I'll say this, there is NO EXCUSE for failing to upgrade our WR corp. There may not be a superstar out there, but there are some nice vets. out there that can def. help.

He'd give up lesbian women to get rid of the fraud. He might even consider dating men... :P

Go ahead and work the guy out. You've got nothing to lose.

Last off-season, Rod Gardner and Marc Boerigter were the "big, tall" receivers that supposedly was going to drive a high-powered west coast offensive. Those grandiose plans fell apart quickly in training camp.

At least, Moulds is a “big, tall” receiver who has been a Pro-bowler, played in some big games, and can catch the ball in cold weather. There’s no harm in looking at him.

The only problem with some of these guys is they were #1's.

We need a 3, a move guy. Will any of these former stars really know how to be a role player, possession receiver?

Moulds may be a nice fit for this year. It is an odd numbered year. Anyone who plays FF knows what Moulds does in odd numbered years.

Andre Johnson... probably one of the top 5 WR's in the league. He's double teamed almost every snap, and still puts up numbers - in spite of the crappy OL and Carr.

Moulds would be a nice addition as a stabalizing #3 though... don't know how much of need we have for that role though.

Has he even cleared waivers?

I agree, and since he played in buffalo, we know he can handle playing in cold weather. I say we sign him ASAP!
