I have to come out of hibernation to hammer the fools who think Randy Moss would help the Pack. An aging mal-content who doesn't give 100% on every play, and is not a good role model for the younger players. He is not going to be the player he was 5 years ago, but he will be the dink he was five years ago.
Put down the fine green wine, wipe off the golden goggles. You'll be sober, and your vision will not be clouded, by visions of 80 yard TD passes to the goal post hiney wiper, who wears a diaper on his head.

I know it's the dead of winter and all, but this story is just that. A fabricated media driven line of crap, that will never happen. If Ted Thompson wouldn't put up with Javon Walker, he sure as hell don't want nothing to do Mr. Moss.

It's a National Enquirer headline story for the morons standing in the check-out line, who believe Elvis is living with Bigfoot in Sioux Falls S.D.

Vic,

Where the heck have you been ?

I've bought out the Randy Moss Kool Aide.

We want to win now; we neglect the past and hope a change of atmosphere gets to back to the Bowl.

Give up our 3rd.

Driver
Moss
Jennings

Resign Ahman Green
Draft Reggie Nelson at S
Draft a TE in round two

Offense revived
Defense improving

See the Playoffs Vic, See the Playoffs !

Cheers,
B

there's no doubt Moss will bring a bowl to Packerland, he'll probably bring his bong along too.

All right.

We hear from that always positive, voice of reason, SOV.

I, too, agree with him.

So I must be wrong.

If SOV is against the Moss trade than I'm changing my mind.

My new position:

Nothing like a change of scenery to bring the all-pro out of a fun-loving rascal like Randy Moss.

Go for it, TT. Never mind my former position. I think it was founded in late winter negativism and I think I saw a robin today. He was freezing his ass off but he was definitely here.

Randy will be a positive force in the lockerroom and quickly become a player favorite. You know how the guys like towel snapping and soap hockey after a big game!

We'll invent a new Lambeau tradition in honor of Randy that involves an entire stadium fake-mooning every Moss touchdown.

Life with Randy will be good.

I would like to TT to sit on this idea until the draft. The only risk here is the Patriots trading for him. Not likely, because they are cheaper than TT, but they have brought in a malcontent before. The reason I say wait until the draft is to see IF Brady Quinn slips to 16. Not likely, but possible. ND72 would wet his pants. Then ship ARod to the Raiders with a 3rd rd pick for Moss. This gives us a playmaker right now, and a QB for M3 to groom. This is all depends on whether the Raiders draft Russell. You know they are going to get a young QB, because they are looking to sign someone like Garcia. Moss is NOT going to play with Garcia. Then draft someone like Merriweather or Irons in the second.

Trade him tonight at 11pm No doubt in my mind. I will ask you this. Moss is a guy that has been double covered his whole life, defenses scheme against him. I will say he has lost a step and doesnt give 100% every play However his lost step puts him still one of the top deep threats in the game. If he is single covered by ANY CB in the NFL Favre can and will get him the ball. If he is double covered or they roll a saftey to his side to 'spy' Moss you have Jennings and Driver single covered...can you IMAGINE Driver single covered! MY GOD! Favre you eclipse Mannings TD single season record.

Why do some of you feel the need to apoligize for agreeing with me. Are you afraid of the backlash you'll receive from the bullies in this forum? This whole Moss thing has nothing to do with being negative or positive. It's based on the man's history, which is more factual than "kool-aid dreamin.'"

Get some stones and just say what you believe without the "I can't believe I agree with Vic", spineless reply. If it makes you feel good to lock me in the "negative box", so be it. But don't make it sound so bad, just because my comments make sense.

^ Totally agreed.

You also tell me he goof's off and takes plays off with Favre at the helm. There will be none of that and Favre will make that known to him right in his face in Training camp.

Favre will bring the best out in moss. In a way, Moss may bring the best out in favre as well.

Bottom line is that Randy Moss is all about himself, and isn't the missing link most people think will get us deep into the play-offs. If they do trade for this over the hill whiner, it will hurt this franchise, on and off the field.

And as far as his stats go, he was a great talent at one time but had a lot of baggage. Well he still has a cargo of luggage, but he is now just another guy, due to father time. In my opinion, he'll be out of the league in less than 3 years, due to his lack of work ethic.

Like I said, if moss has any chance of being a good player it is with the Motivation factor of brett favre.

So long as favre is at the helm Moss will either perform or kiss the NFL goodbye.

It's worth the risk over an unproven draft pick.

Moss behaving himself has nothing to do with Lord Favre. Brett is not Reggie White. Reggis was an enforcer. Brett let's his play on the field speak to the troops.

Favre never got on Jennings last year huh? Or Ruevell? I seem to remember a lot of words and signals comming from favre to his WR's last year.

Favre play should be enough, but if not Favre is not about to back down to Moss. If moss if f'in around favre will make sure he does not see the field.

Favre is sometimes a bit of an enforcer when it comes to his receivers. If Moss were slacking off, Favre would talk to him in a way he wouldn't to a lineman.I'm still kind of undecided on this issue. However, it should be noted that Moss would not have to be the player he once was to help the Packers. The Packers already have a Pro-Bowl receiver. If Moss could catch 60 passes for 1,000 yards and 8-10 TD's, that would be a big shot in the arm for this offense.

Agreed, not to mention taking some double teams away from Driver.
