"There's a place here for all of our players," head coach Herm Edwards said. "It's just a matter of where they fit. That's going to be talked about and discussed. When we signed (quarterback) Damon (Huard), everyone threw up this big red flag: 'What does this mean (for Green?)' It doesn't mean anything. (Huard) was a guy we wanted to bring back. He's been a good quarterback. He's won some football games for us."

ESPN.com reports Denver Broncos CB Dre' Bly, according to several sources cited in The Washington Post, was upset at being traded from the Detroit Lions to the Broncos and would rather have been dealt to the Washington Redskins. Once Bly was dealt to the Broncos, the Redskins attempted to negotiate a trade, offering CB Shawn Springs, however the teams were unable to work out a deal. Bly is reportedly miffed at being in Denver because the Broncos are unwilling to extend his contract, which has one year and $4.2 million remaining.

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears QB Rex Grossman (shoulder) recently had his right shoulder examined at a hospital. A source close to Grossman says there is nothing to worry about and that Grossman is fine. Grossman had experienced some tenderness and pain in the shoulder, but everything is structurally fine and he is expected to be fully healthy moving forward.
