If we can't get Green, this is the guy I'd want.

INTERESTING

This excites me; not as much Henry specifically. But they are at least in discussions with free agents :glug: :glug: :glug: :glug: :glug:

I would love to have Travis Henry.

I agree. He was really good before he got into trouble. He's a younger, trougbled Ahman Green.

If I'm not mistaken he's a decent receiving back as well.

The MJS reports the same thing. However, the Packers are waiting to see what happens with Green before they make an offer to Henry. Don't be surprised if Denver signs Henry ASAP.

Henry rushed for over 1200 yards in 2006 despite missing 2 games. The case against him is that he was suspended 4 games in 2005 for substance abuse. I imagine any contract would probably have a "good behavior" clause.

Everyone always forgets that Green isn't that old, cause it seems like he's been here forever.

Henry is indeed younger than Green. 4 months younger.

Green has been in the league longer (10 vs 7 years) and has the carries to go with it (1871 vs 1321) so I guess he's older in 'nfl years'.

I would think that Ahman's nearness to becoming the alltime Packer rushing leader will play a part before all is said & done.

I kind of second guessed it before I posted it Guiness but I though "Henry can't be the same age as Green"

To be honest, I havn't seen him play in the last 2 years so I'm not too familiar with where he stacks. Green was a very good back but he did benefit from Favre and a top notch OL as well. I always considered Henry a similar back to Green in overall talent and on field effectiveness. If he's half the price, I would think Henry is the better option.

Ahman in 2002-2004 was much better than Henry has ever been. That being said, at this time they are close to a wash. The downside of Henry is he fumbles even more than Ahman (once every 52 touches for Henry; once every 63 touches for Ahman).
