There is no big name FA's of importance available. At this point any FA signing I would go "who the hells is that?".

I don;t care if we don't sign a singal FA.

* In the opener, helped the Dallas offense put together two solid drives to begin the game (nine plays, 67 yards; 20 plays, 53 yards) but sprained left knee midway through second quarter and did not return. Also missed next game
* Returned to action on Monday night at Washington (Sept. 27) but played only on special teams
* Split time at center with Al Johnson vs. N.Y. Giants (Oct. 10), helping rushing offense rack up 166 yards (5.5 yards per carry)
* At Baltimore (Nov. 21), filled in at right guard for Andrew Gurode midway through fourth quarter when Gurode bruised his knee
* Four days later in Thanksgiving win over Chicago (Nov. 25), took over for Gurode (sprained knee) on third play of the game and helped Julius Jones rush for 150 yards, the first 100-yard performance of the season by a Dallas back

* In season finale at N.Y. Giants (Jan. 2), fractured his left wrist while blocking on kickoff return team in the first half and did not return

* In wildcard playoff game at Carolina (Jan. 3), recorded a 7-yard return on a squibbed kickoff in his postseason debut

2002 Season Back To Top

* Selected in the sixth round, 179th overall, by Dallas in NFL Draft
* Sidelined for almost all of training camp with a high left ankle sprain sustained on Aug. 4 but showed enough promise and tenacity in limited two-a-day work to earn a roster spot
* Ankle injury forced him to be inactive for the first four games of the season
* Ended up playing in 10 games with eight starts
* Saw his first NFL action vs. Carolina (Oct. 13), taking over at center midway through second quarter and helping Dallas rush for 138 yards and 5.8-yard average and score two fourth-quarter TDs in comeback victory

* Two weeks later started again at center at Indianapolis (Nov. 17) and held starting job for rest of season
* Part of offensive line that produced season-high 405 total yards in win over Jacksonville (Nov. 24) and a season-high 211 rushing yards in Thanksgiving win over Washington (Nov. 28), and held San Francisco (Dec. 8) without a sack in 28 pass plays

* Underwent back surgery in summer 1999 but started every game at left tackle that season
* Named honorable mention All-Big Ten after starting every game at left tackle in 1998 as Buckeyes finished fifth nationally in total offense (503.5 ypg) and first in Big Ten in total offense, passing efficiency (151.2) and scoring (36.9 ppg). That team went 11-1, beating Texas A&M in the Nokia Sugar Bowl to finish with No. 2 national ranking
