McGAHEE TO RAVENS TONIGHT OR TOMORROW?

A league source tells us that there's a good chance that the Buffalo Bill will trade running back Willis McGahee to the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday night or Thursday.

Per the source, there are a couple of other teams still in the hunt for McGahee. As of now, however, the Ravens are at the front of the pack.

Also, a reader tells us that there are reports on Sirius NFL Radio that such a trade would entail Baltimore sending a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick to Buffalo.

If the trade happens, Ravens likely will be signing McGahee to a long-term deal. Based on recent contracts, McGahee could get $20 million in guaranteed money. (Ray Lewis will be thrilled with that.)

Meanwhile, the Bills are looking for McGahee's eventual replacement. Chris Brown visited Buffalo on Wednesday, and Corey Dillon is up next

If the Bills get rid of him, its a good chance they will take lynch at #12 :(

In my opinion, and you don't have to agree, but he could as much be a franchise back as Green was for us the last 6 years...plus he's only a bit older than Ahman was when we got him...I don't think we could pick a better player in the third round, so why not take him? It frees us up to go WR/S or S/WR and plug 3 holes in the first 3 rounds.

If Lynch gets nabbed which it sounds like he most definilty will, then we could get lucky enough to land Ginn.

Ginn acctually fits us perfectly. He's the deep threat that opens the intermediate stuff and he's really explosive in his YAC. He'd fit perfectly in a WCO.

Meachem would be much better and as of now is probably the second best WR in the draft.

6'1" 200 is too small? Hate to know what you think of the smaller Greg Jennings (and slower).

sorry, 6'0,3/4 inch and 190 at the combine...so I was off by 1/4 an inch and 10 pounds.

I just looked on multiple draft sites and they had him from 5'11" to 6' and only weighing 180lbs.

Non the less...Ginn gives you 2 things...WR, & special teams burner. Mechem, I don't like because of his reputation at Tennessee of being a dropper...but lots of you will see he didn't drop a ball in shorts and a t-shirt at the combine.

All Ginn does is run go routes and he won't be abble to get off the line of scrimmage very well. Ginn would be a very good return man.

Ginn hasn't been measured yet. If he has, you'll find his measurements at NFL.com. You can't trust most sites for that. They all differ because it's a guess until they are measured by NFL scouts.

Does that happen at their pro day or at the combine?

Happens in the back of the Strip Club with Pacman Jones. That's what the 80K is for, a couple of "bricks" to make them taller.

I had other ideas on what that money was for, but that reasoning works too.

NFL Network did a piece on the WR's yesterday. They showed a bunch of specific plays. Ginn runs only 2 routes-the screen and go routes. He will never go over the middle. He does'nt block well. They showed 2 specific plays where athletic CB's were able to bring him down one on one.

I'd have loved to view that; what did they have to say about Meecham ?

He's still the guy I really like; he has the ability to make us forget about the Javon Walker nightmare IMO.

Meecham was the only one they did'nt show clips of but had nothing but good things to say about him at the end of the piece. The clips they showed of Jarrett were not kind at all. They showed Bowe making 2 VERY impressive blocks. Then showed a drop that was his fault and then another that Russel left him out to dry on. Last clip of him was delivering some punishment to a DB after a catch.
