With Favre coming back, I hope the packers draft 2 guards, with 1 on the first day. Plus a wide reciever or tight end or both. I'm willing to pray that the running backs will be adequate.

I want to see competitive games next fall. This will require some rookie miracles. All I'm asking for is a little bit of hope.

Ummm... what do we do at OLB then? This team needs to get a LB in the first two rounds.

A.J. Hawk, Davin Joseph, and Anthony Fasano or Vernon Davis, Thomas Howard, and Rob Sims?

That's sort of what it comes down to. Personally, I'd take the first group. I don't think they'd even need Fasano. I think Bubba will be healthy and back to his old self and give Lee another year and he could be something. He has speed to stretch defenses. I'd look at Hawk, Joseph, and then come back and pick whatever corner drops to the 3rd round (unless they get Woodson).

I agree a LB is a good idea. But I think the offensive line is a great priority, or disaster area, depending how you want to look at it.

Yeah....I wouldn't consider a dime a dozen athlete when you have an athlete with unmatched ability sitting on the board.

I am pleased Mr. Favre is back, but one of the things you can do to help him is to improve the defense to the point where we never need more than 17 points to win.

If we did go Vernon Davis I would support the decision and hope for the best. Indeed, I'd be kind of excited about it. But if you put the pick into my hands I'm taking AJ as the safest of bets in the top eight players.

just because AJ Hawk doesn't have blistering speed doesn't mean anything. He has far better lateral movement, just as good of long jump, vertical, and shuttle times.

Hawk also was in school getting his degree during combine training season. Davis was training for his 40 time. It clearly showed.

Despite the 40 times of Davis (4.38) and Calhoun (4.7), who do you consider the faster player?

You apparently know a lot less about how good of an athlete Hawk is than I thought you would--especially for somebody who spends so much time crunching the combine numbers.
