Just speaking personally, it may seem like "just a bunch of youtube links" (well, because it literally is) but to me it is more. I enjoy listening to the music that others post here, I enjoy blasting my tunes out, dancing around on the cold hard tile of my den/office like a fool, singing into my make believe microphone and unwinding while sharing my music with others who may like it. I sometimes play back and forth with members via youtube videos and I have a very good time in here. I also love music, across the spectrum, so.... why not discuss music? Absolutely! I think anything to do with music would fall into the confines of this thread.... so.... what shall we talk about? :)

To see Jeff Healey 'LIVE' was always a fantastic experience. I traveled out one night while I was doing my Education Degree in Fredericton, New Brunswick in a blinding snowstorm to see this wonderful guitarist/singer perform at the Campus's Social Club. It was really great and up close and personal as he performed about six feet fr.where I stood in amazement. Jeff Healey left us far too soon at 41 years dying of cancer. He had a rare form of cancer that left him blind nearly fr. birth but took up the guitar and began to play. What an awesome player and singer he was: A huge loss to Canadian blues fans. Check out his long version of 'ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER' at the end of this post. Anything he did was too good.

I gurantee it's pure entertainment value. Lead guitarist BILLY GIBBONS is something else as he would say 'Reeeeaaaal Fiiine'[/B]

That wonderful Texas small town drawling Rock voice. The way he performs in harmony; ' the moves ' with bass player DUSTY HILL and solid ... no fancy pants drumming - just get the beat down' drummer FRANK BEARD A ' LIVE 'performance that's exceptional IMO. BILLY GIBBONS is so understatedly cool before an adoring crowd and 'a Rock Guitar Virtuoso' with his entirely unique guitar styleing and performance and crowd engagement skills.

Billy Gibbons on lead for ZZ TOP. Magnificiant. I have read that BILLY GIBBONS was JIMI HENDRIX's favourite guitar player. Does anyone have the bones on that as a fact?

Have any of you seen ZZ TOP LIVE ? If so......what was that experience like? This band has played for a handful in some dusty small town tavern and played before hundreds of thousands. I was thinking last night. If I had to choose between two bands ....FREE Tickets to see Dire Straits or ZZ TOP; which would I agonizingly choose to see?

OK ... so your going to Heaven or Nirvana or wherever you see your destination after life here. because 'of course' your a Green Bay Packer fan. My personal view of SADE. She's a remarkably talented and beautiful woman. If there is any such thing as 'an ANGEL On Earth' Sade is a obvious candidate in my view. I've loved her work over the years and her sound and performances are first rate. SADE was in Montreal end of June 20011 at the stat of OUR International Jazz Festivale. If you ever get an opportunity to visit Montreal E-mail me and I'll give you some tips on exactly some must see places and famous eating estblishments or yu can get alot by visiting the Monteal Tourist Bureau in the St. Catherine's Peel St. area of uptown Montreal. It's a fantastic city. It's a whole lot more than amazing stripbars, Jazz Bars,Rock Bars,Massage Parlors and over a thousand fantastic food establishments. It's the old and the newarchitecture. The Art Centers and Museums. The Place d'Arts and the BELL Center. The Habitants - The HABS... the Montreal Canadians and they a religion in Montreal. The CFL Current 2 time Grey Cup Champion Montreal Alouettes. The Montreal Impact PRO Soccer team. Sports are huge here.

We lost and still love the EXPOS. What an era they contributed to in Montreal. It's said, that at one time they we're actually more popular with sports fans here than the HABS. I often traveled with Family and friends fr. Saint John, New Brunswick, my hometown. To see the MONTREAL EXPOS play at the Olympic Stadium. That was once an amazing venue for baseball and to enjoy their mascot YUPPI. My children loved this stadium and EXPO games.

Losing MLB in Montreal the place that Jackie Robinson played before breaking into the Majors is a tragedy that us baseball fans feel deeply. I still follow Vladimir Guerrero in the twlight of his fabulous career.

Back wishing to see SADE. Short of camping out for a night at the ticket office. It's so hard to get tickets for such a popular Lady and Group of such extraordinary talent; and then they come fr. France which doubles down on ticket demand in Montreal. In any case àll Sade fans'...enjoy this remarkable singer and her obviously talented group.
